Alright but
I use pixiv a lot for finding fanarts or just art in general because you can find all sort of different artists and it’s great. You can use tags but it’ll be cool if your able to use two tags at a time. The app version also seems to be shallow compare to the website version, which in my opinion is better to navigate and has way more stuff but lags alot for me. Rather then getting notifications for when a user goes live it’ll be a cool if there is a notification for when a user post? I’m not sure whenever there’s a feature like this. It’s also really unfair to have to pay to get stuff that shouldn’t be locked in order to pay (see search history, popular art) it’s already available in other art platforms so why must people pay to see those things on pixiv? Other then that I don’t really have a issue with pixiv

Good app, scummy tactics for premium
The app itself is serviceable. The UI could be better and there are some features missing from the web version, but it works well enough. The problem is how they push you to use premium which is a subscription for money.
Certain features are “premium exclusive” which I could understand if these features weren’t basic quality of life features for most other websites. The most egregious example of this is Tag Muting. You are allowed to mute one tag at a time without premium, preventing any works with that tag from showing on your feed. The issue here is that there are many tags that are generally seen as morally disgusting available that for use, and you are only allowed to have one of these muted at a time unless you pay for premium.
A great example of this would be for gore. I personally don’t like to see gore and would keep this tag muted. While I’m browsing, I come across physical abuse, for example, and wish to mute this too. I would be forced to either unmute the gore tag or pay for a subscription service.

This app can be useful to find artist support, artist that you were already following or see new art that could interest you, but the tags that are allowed in created in this app is disgusting, the stuff that is allowed in this app to be described as immoral and disgusting to any one with any regard for animals and children, this app opens up a gateway to a very dangerous group of people, and do not need to be allowed to see this type of art see this type of art created, the artists are good. The community is somewhat OK, but the things that you can accidentally slept too, because he clicked on a general category were some creep who made something in that category is disgusting, that side as he can only block one thing at max, if he say to categories of disgust, you, you have to have a decision to see which one you want to block unless you pay to block more, so please, if you know how to manage disgusting art here and are generally interested in supporting your favorite artist, download this app it’s very useful. It’s just very easy to fall into to disgusting and degenerate categories

Great app but feels like it gets the short end of the stick
This is a great app but it feels like it’s in the shadow of its website counterpart. For and example the website your able to send request which is their newest feature. The problem is that if you use the app your unable to send a request or even know who accepts request unless you go to the website. This isn’t the only feature that isn’t on the app but the one I’m using as an example. The thing is that if these feature are apart of pixiv premium then that isn’t fair to the people who can’t afford it at the moment. So what they could do is limit the function but if that isn’t the case then it would be great if they add some of the features from the website to the app so it could stand on par with the website.

Very nice but somewhat concerned
Don’t get me wrong I’ve been using pixiv sense 2020 with other devices and hen art work is STUNNING and never fail so impress me! HOWEVER these is A LOT of lol!con and Shot@con context and it’s supper gross. Idk I’m thinking about just going back to Pinterest for my art work because it’s just a LOT of gross and weird/ innoprooreate content ( I. General) of minors in here and I’m upset not because it’s there a lot of THAT kinda of content of minors on there ( we’ll yes I am upset because of that’s to )but also because it’s almost like pixiv is doing NOTHING about it like it’s soo much and so easy to find. Like I might me looking a cute piece of art of Anya from spy family ( I don’t really watch the show but just as an example) and then scroll down and see a bunch more similar photos ( okay that’s not bad!) but the more and more I look the odder and odder it gets and just becomes gross. Idk it’s just really wired.

It works amazing for what it is!
Given that this is a Japanese platform that’s being translated into English, for me it works spectacularly.
My one little issue I run into is on a post of multiple images, I want to be able to skip through them to the bottom easier, so I can see the tags and profile.
I would also like to be able to see more than three of an artist’s works when they are recommend to me, on the website you can swipe through all of an artists work when they are recommended, I would to see this replicated on the app.

Good but has restrictions that aren’t good
There a couple that I can mention but the most noteworthy one would be the fact that you need premium to view what is essentially just a trending tab. You can’t look at the popular tab which isn’t beneficial to anyone, even the artist. If the artist makes it to the popular section most people can’t even go and check on their art which just hurts the artist more than benefit them because they’re not getting as much viewership as the likely could. The fact that you need to pay a fee to view what’s trending is just a major flaw on the app’s design and shouldn’t have been implemented in the first place, I don’t mind most of the perks of premium but this is just very unnecessary and should be something everyone has access to, not to only premium users

App is Faster but ALOT less functional.
So comparing the app to the mobile web version, the only thing I can really say that the app has an edge on is how quickly images load and and fast you can navigate settings/works/collections. The app for some reason doesn’t include most of the sites features. On the app you CANT; ‘like’ any posts, only bookmark them/ you cant scroll through more of a creators posts under an image without actually going to their profile/ you can’t comment or view comments on any posts/ you can’t use the messenger or even view any messages/ you can’t view your own dashboard or analytics. There’s probably more things you can’t do on the app but that’s what sticks out to me. If I just want to browse through my collection I prefer the app, but literally ANYTHING else the mobile site does better. App is really lacking.

Ipad app is too bare bones.
Right now the iPad app is really barebones. On landscape everything is huge. Portrait images are displayed fitting width which doesn’t work. It only shows the images in low resolution until you are force to zoom in to download the HD version. And the implementation when holding click on the image shows two options. “Save image” and “save original image"; the first one saves the low res version no matter what and the second saves the HD one but it is extremely slow. My internet is fast so I know it's the app. It should give the option to always show HD resolution. The website works way better and the app should be the same experience or even better. Please update this.

About to cancel my premium and delete the app
Been using Pixiv for a while now and enjoyed it enough that I decided to pay for premium.
Before, you would get a pop up at the bottom only once in a while in an unobtrusive way, now it does it every time you interact with content and it makes the app unusable. The content you're trying to see gets instantly half covered up, and it's completely redundant because if you like what you see, you scroll down for more anyway.
I'm a bit more mixed about the removal of recommended content when you like something loading in immediately underneath it. It was a little _too_ addicting.
But the pop up panel is a frustrating, superfluous obstruction and needs to be removed.
