The digital star map is ideal for learning the constellations and objects in the night sky.
The application generates the star background for arbitrary observer latitudes. It displays stars, constellations and Messier objects. The sun, moon and planets are displayed together with their distance from earth.
You can show and hide constellation lines and the names of stars, constellations and Messier objects by clicking on buttons on the main screen. The background color of the star map can be changed to any color you like.

Missing bright nebulas
This does not show bright nebulas such as the ring nebula in Lyra which can be seen in a 3 inch reflector. For finding stars it is ok but free star maps don't cost anything. Missing lots other nebulas that can be seen with small telescopes.
