Description
Planttes is a Citizen Science project that proposes to inform about the presence of allergenic plants in the environment and their phenological phase, which it translates into a level of allergy risk. With their records, citizens contribute to elaborate an updated map with street level accuracy of whether the chosen plant presents low risk of allergy (without flower and / or with fruit), increasing risk (closed flower), maximum risk (open flower). The visualization of this information in the map will help to avoid allergy episodes by no visiting the risk areas.
Planttes has selected 11 species for their allergenic potential and presents their main botanical characteristics and phenological phases in a files and a pictures gallery.
You can participate individually or in groups, also schools, institutes, civic centers ...
