Not as good as it should be
It works really good when you open the app and just start using it. The problem starts when you pause or get out of the app, maybe between innings to conserve battery. The app doesn’t like to keep working when you get back in and try to continue. You have to shut it down and start a new session. The app essentially costs $100, since that’s how much extra you have to pay for the device to get it to work with the app. The app should be flawless considering the costs associated.

App is terrible compared to the old app but improving
App has been getting better we still have some work to do. iPhone 14 pro max you can only record if phone is vertical not horizontal. Once u press record then buttons pop up horizontal. But because you do that it records 90 degrees left. Til you stop and hit record again. Also I know there’s a button to save but I didn’t have that option on there should be a way you can manually save it. Also I’ve tried to share a video but it just stays in preparing video it never is available to send. I hope to hear from you guys

Not working properly with GameChanger
Love my pocket radar and the fact that I can use it to show velocity on GameChanger. However, it used to auto generate velo within the GameChanger app and now that doesn’t work. I have to listen to the velo and add it in GameChanger manually each pitch. Not a huge deal but I don’t like having the volume up to have to hear the velo. Not sure if this is a GameChanger issue or pocket radar issue.

WHY WON’T IT WORK?!
The app will pause itself mid pen or before I even start my pen and end up not videoing any of my pen. Extremely, Extremely frustrating that I am loosing such valuable footage. It records the velo readings but it says session paused and it doesn’t record the video. I have my phone mounted on a camera stand and once I press record I don’t press anything else so I don’t know why it does this. It worked flawlessly one time, the very first time I used it, and it hasn’t worked properly since. I have tried to find what may be causing this but I can’t seem to figure out why.

Some Cool Features But Glitchy
App has a lot of potential to be great, but it’s a bit awkward to navigate, can’t do anything useful to setup an event without being “connected”, and it the video recording feature freezes intermittently and app has to be shutdown to reset. That’s less than ideal when trying to capture in-game events.

1 issue is all the other readings it takes. The most important though. Is the frustration to download the videos to my phone. It either won’t download because the app freezes, or when it does download, it’s in slow motion… 🤬🤯

Great App ! Portrait Mode Needs Fixing
I have used both Stalker & Pocket Radar guns and apps for years..son is Collegiate P. This PR app is by FAR best. Only issue I have seen is when capturing video clips on Portrait mode the clip is both saved in landscape AND the speed overlay is on default landscape position…so even rotating clip afterwards doesn’t solve.

Fix your app
I enjoy getting video of radar readings, but the app is still very buggy. A lot of times you can’t even save the videos it recorded because the app just freezes. Also, when you turn your radar off, the app will just blare “radar not connected” repeatedly and it’s very annoying. Please just make the app run a lot more smoothly.

Doesn’t stay connected to GameChanger
Although the radar performs well, it connectivity to the GameChanger app is hit and miss. It seems to send the data for a while, then it stops. Can’t figure out if the problem is the radar or the GameChanger app.

Great tool
We use the device for pitch development and tracking other players. Great to be able to use video with overlaid velocity from radar.
