Yes, all of the writing, instructions, and labels are in Japanese, but the app is SO intuitive that it really does not matter. The symbols are the same as the English apps, do that does help. The filters...oh, the filters...they are stunning, beautiful, and, in many instances, unique. Some of these filters are so completely new that I cannot place them in a type or grouping. Then, just when you think you cannot be blown away any further, they offer a side by side album of the filters so you can browse (take notice, American apps!!!!). I collect photo-editing programs and own/am proficient in over 175 of them. That bring said, I extremely highly recommend this app. Just plain fun. I love it.
