The Pollution Reporter App provides users with information that connects polluters to pollution to health harms in Ontario’s Chemical Valley. The app makes it easy for users to report spills, leaks, flares and other pollution events to Ontario’s Ministry of Environment using their phone or tablet. Users can share their reports on social media. This app is built for Aamjiwnaang First Nation community members and others living near Chemical Valley, as well as anyone who would like to learn more about pollution in Chemical Valley. This project is for educational purposes only. The health harms listed are based on findings from peer-reviewed scholarship and are not medical diagnoses. The app is built by Indigenous-led Environmental Data Justice Lab at the Technoscience Research Unit, University of Toronto.
