Great, but not perfect
What can I say? The visuals are great, the sound is nice, the animals look really good, and the game is not too much of a finantial burden (Just don't let your kids go wild with your credit card. Use passwords.) The only downsides I can find are that some of the perfect shots are nearly impossible to achieve (flying squirrels, kingfishers, orcas, dolphins, please fix that Black Market Games), and all the achievements are impossible to get. This game is fun if you are stuck in transit, need a quick break from the hussle and bussle of daily life, or just want to have a good time. This game is developed by the same minds behind Pony Friends 1 and 2 (if you have a DS or a 3DS I reccomend them.) So I found this to be quite enjoyable. The horse breeds have different stats, and there are different abilities from the equipment you earn on the way. The paywall is always a problem, but at least it's only optional. Get this game and enjoy it.

I love this game! It’s so much fun. I love that you can care for your pony. I definitely appreciate the sweat scraper because I have only seen it in this game and I do have to do that to my horse. I think maybe you could add being able to feed and give water to your horse, and maybe groom it with brushes.
Another thing that is great is the riding. I love that you can truly ride your horse (in the game of course) and take photos of the animals. I quite like that you can go on different trails. It’s really neat. There are a few things you could do to make it better, though. One of the only things that I don’t like is the gallop time. I wish you could gallop longer; it’s really annoying. Another thing that I don’t mind but would make the game better and more realistic is to add trotting and cantering. It’s not a huge deal but it would make the game better and more realistic.
Another thing about riding is that maybe you should be able to ride dressage or jump or barrel race or whatever. Maybe compete, too. This would make the game more entertaining, I think, but the game is great right now anyway.
All in all, this is an absolutely amazing game. There are a fe things that could’ve improved but it’s a great game. You should definitely download it. I look for games where I can ride my horse in first person and care for it and all that but I found it 🤗.

Eh, not bad but needs some improvements and updates
It’s not a bad game, lots of things are pretty accurate, and the graphics are good, but it gets a little frustrating playing it. They make some animals way too difficult to find, even when it’s a daily quest animal, and some just never seem to pop up. Sometimes you have to ride the same trail over and over again for honestly hours in order to find just one animal for a quest. Happened to me trying to find a garter snake on the coast trail, it took several tries and literal hours to finally get one to appear so I could get a pic of it. The way the galloping is kinda done isn’t super accurate, same with the washing and such. But the way the horses look is pretty darn close to real. My other issue is the coin store doesn’t work for me, it can’t connect and I don’t want to reset my game with all the progress I’ve made just to see if I can get it work. It’s frustrating because for a game that doesn’t have any ads, one would think they’d make a lot of bank on people buying things from the coin store and that they’d want to make sure it was functional for everyone. I do also wish there was a little more to do within the game, from maybe breeding horses, to more than just the three places to ride, to maybe some other horse/pony related things to do in the game to keep people more interested and playing a little more. It’s not a bad game, definitely nice, but there’s most definitely a lot that can be improved on as well.

I have played Pony trails for almost 6 years!
I have been playing Pony trails for 6 years not straight and it’s so much fun! I really enjoy riding a horse taking pictures of animals on trails and caring and customizing my horse. I have been playing this since I was 5 and I still love it! Many fun years! I certainly recommend this game to any horse lovers!
What you do: You are a riding photographer who photographs wild animals. You collect as many photos as possible and it rates how good your picture looks. You can care and upgrade your horse. There are so many different trails to go on and sooooo many different paths on each trail! And so many paths on paths! You must care for your horse by hoof picking it washing it with a hose. You can pick and change your tack by collecting so many different types by collecting coins from trails and getting them from in game gifts! Go on trails and ride your horse taking pictures of wild animals and collect as many coins as possible and those coins you can use for tack, horses, gear, and more! Make a huge album of pictures in the games picture album!

AWSOME, but...
I love this game, it is do fun! There is some minor problems, I have never seen any rare animals and I have had this for awhile. There should be different speeds, more than just walk, and gallop, there should also be trot, canter, and jump. Maybe you could add a couple more trails. The horse breeds are a bit expensive, I have to either safe for like 2 months (and that's if I play for half an hour every day, which I can not do) or buy a coin pack which my parents refuse to let me do!
Could you add a way to stray off the trail a little to get a perfect shot? I know I have said a lot of things you could fix or add, but I really do love this gem. Do if you are a person looking to download this app, pay no attention to my comments, they would make this game better, but it is already really need fun. One other thing, is there a way to restore purchases because I have owned this twice and I want to get my old stuff back.

AWESOME there are little flaws though
I really enjoy this game. It never lags for me. I like that there are so many ponies to chose from. Most of the ponies cost a lot, I understand if you may of wanted to make it challenging to buy ponies. I can play this game for a day and not even have enough coins to buy the unicorn. Many people have complained about coins, so I will go on to the other problem. For some people it would be a problem but to other people it would not. There are few activities. There are six trails and that's not to bad. What I don't like is that you have to go to equip to find your ponies. I would love it if you could add stables for your ponies. Also if I could feed and water them and things like that, besides just giving it a bath and pick its hooves. I know this is a long review, but I would appreciate it if someone took the time to look at this.

Pony Trials
This game was pretty good! I used to play it all the time. The graphics and horse care methods need work, and I want the animation to tack up your pony. A horse girl myself, I will play any game to be around horses or virtual horses. The last thing I’d like to talk about is the name. First of all, it’s misleading. It causes kids to think “Pony Trials!! Sounds so fun!!!!” When there’s nothing ABOUT trials in there. Spelling error, I think not. Also, not only that, but you put a basic, stereotypical unicorn in there when it’s meant to be about ponies. Ponies are BASICALLY small horses. And no, myth people, they do not grow into horses. A baby horse is a foal. Moving on, thank you for reading this, I hope it was worth your time, and I hope this helps you improve the game. No hate to this game, but basically, it needs more activities, scratch the unicorn, fix the title, get more animations, get breeds of horses, learn about the way to take care of a horse and DO SO! And finally, fix the graphics.

This game is so great!!! I’ve had thins game for so long but my IPad broke, but I was so lucky to find this game on my phone! This game has so much amazing graphics and don’t even get me started with all the horses! I bet you they worked so hard on this game. There is like 18 trails in all to explore(including the trails inside pf the trails). The nature is so pretty and the animals are so well made. This should be on top of the horse game list!But I don’t think they have posted an update in 9 months! All I really gotta say is please! Maybe add more trails! I have explored all of the trails already and I would LOVE to see more come out. They probably quit on this game but y’all listen you have such a great game and it’s a bummer that you guys didn’t come out with an update! This game is amazing and I recommend it to any horse crazy person! I swear.

SUCH a fun, detailed game
I’ve rediscovered this game from my childhood and BOY, do I remember why I loved it so much. I honestly would’ve been sold on the horse and trail graphics alone (i just love that stuff), but there are so many yummy details like new worlds, endless wild animals, challenges in capturing all of those animals (AND in a good quality photo)... and the way that washing the pony has direct effects on its riding abilities.. *chef’s kiss*. It’s pretty hard to believe that all this is free! I really hope it never gets taken down, it’s a rare, high-quality gem in mobile games.
