Improved blur shape control. I've heard your feedback and worked to make the interface better. The blur shape now shows guidelines when adjusting to help see where the blur is.
Also, I'm working on improving the performance on older devices. DepthEffects delivers the most realistic lens blur available and getting that requires a lot of processing.

DepthEffects includes a new Portrait2 lens with a very unique focus. This lens is sharp in the center with a swirly bokeh effect towards the edges. Great for portrait shots. This is based on the Petzval Lens which was designed in 1840 and one of the earliest camera lenses.

App works great but the functionality is still very bare bones.

Meh.
Editing the mask is very fussy, doesn’t always seem to want to go where your finger is pointing. Zooming and panning are hard so that doesn’t help. Also on my second use of the app it crashed when I clicked Done after painstaking manual edits on the mask with a very busy background, and this is on a 2-day-old new iPhone with all updates to iOS and apps. This wants to be a pretty cool app but the frustration level is too high.

To Crash Or Not To Crash
I love this app so much but I dream of a day when it isn’t a tossup if it’s going to crash after editing the blur mask. It would be such a perfect app if not for that frustration. Everything else about it is wonderful and I love the results when I can manage to get an edit done.
