Learn and practise Portuguese verbs with this interactive verb reference and drill tool. With over 100 core verbs and a tiny app footprint, Portuguese Verb Blitz is a simple and effective way to refresh and revise your grammar skills as well as expand your everyday vocabulary.
As well as a verb reference, there is a set of intensive verb drill activities to quiz your conjugation knowledge, including:
- Infinitive quiz: do you know the meaning of the each verb?
- Conjugation quiz: can you select the correct verb form for the English translation?
- Snap quiz: can you spot when the Portuguese and English sentences match? Try to get ten in a row!
- Gapfill: can you spell out the missing word in the conjugated sentence?
In the settings, you can select which tenses to drill in the games. So whether you're a beginner, or already on the way to mastery, there's a level for you!
The app will track your scores throughout the games, so you can check in the Performance section at any time to see the entries you're finding trickiest.

Grammatical info tags are now included alongside the English translation prompt in the Conjugation Quiz, giving tense, person and number hints. Now you can give those verbs a good technical drilling independent of the translation! Ah, humble Snap Game. We're sorry you were forsaken. We gifted your cousins the multiple choice game a special speed option in the settings, but you went unrewarded. No more! You now have a shiny new setting of your own, and can flip your cards at anything between the (frankly frightening) rate of one per second or a *much* more generous thirty seconds. :) Big thanks again to the user suggestion behind this latest improvement. A couple of brand new features in this release. To start with, you can now adjust the timing of the multiple choice games. Give yourself a full sixty seconds per answer to wind down the stress, or crank the speed up to just two seconds per answer. Your call! Also, we've added the learning set "10 Essential Verbs" as a play option, so you can really drill those fundamentals. Thanks to all our users for sending great feedback and suggestions. This update corrects an issue on some iOS versions where the Infinitive Quiz failed to start properly. Thanks to the user who spotted and reported that bug. We've also added a few seconds to the multichoice quiz timer while we work on a custom option for that in the settings. We like a challenge, but ten seconds was maybe a little too stingy for some of the more demanding tenses! Happy learning!

Unique and stimulating Portuguese verb practice
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I use several Portuguese learning apps and have tried others. Portuguese Verb Blitz is unique! In just one month this app has gone from marginal to being TRULY SUPERIOR. This is a direct result of the developer’s openness to suggestions and rapid updates to the app. Unlike most verb conjugation apps, this app does not simply provide a list for each tense. Instead, it has useful games that give the student user practical application exercises in 11 tenses. The latest version also allows the user to select the game speed to challenge beginners thru advanced users.
