From the very first look at the introduction, there is a typo in "preform" rather than "perform." Secondly, it says that Spanish is a pro-drop language, when this app is for PORTUGUESE. I see typos in the very first set of quizzes in the English. It's fine to make an app, but if you're trying to make an app to teach people something, it needs to be correct. Hire a proofreader or two, make sure the English and the Portuguese are correct!!!

I have been using this app for a few days and it has made it far easier to memorize verb forms. The dictionary alone is a great tool to see everything relevant laid out for each verb.

Unfortunately, it contains serious mistakes. First, there are problems with the compounds of pôr (compôr, pospôr, etc.). These are conjugated as though they were regular -er verbs. As an example, for compôr, instead of eu componho, ele compõe, nós compomos, eles compõem, what appears is eu compo, ele compe, nós compemos, eles compem, and so on through all tenses and moods, for all compounds of pôr. As a result, virtually every form is incorrect. Luckily, these verbs are put in their own category, so you can ignore them until this is fixed.

Some future subjunctives are also incorrect. For estar, this app gives estivar, estivarmos and estivarem; it should be estiver, estivermos, estiverem. Similarly, for dar it gives dar, darmos, darem, instead of der, dermos, derem.

Finally, students of Brazilian Portuguese might want to note that they don't need the "tu" form, which is replaced by "você" in standard Brazilian Portuguese. Although it's good to see what these forms are, it would be very helpful if one could exclude the "tu" forms from the quiz so that one can work on just the relevant forms for Brazilian Portuguese.

There's a lot of different language apps for the iPhone but this is the first I've found that deals specifically with verb conjugation. I like the quiz option, although I agree with the previous reviewer that it would be helpful to choose more than one tense to be quizzed on. Also, I think having an option to listen to each word could be a good feature, although it would likely take up a lot more space on the phone. Overall a very helpful purchase for learning a language .

Quiz would be better if there was a random option for the tense. Having to select the tense being quizzed makes things too predictable. A sample sentence for each tense would be helpful, as an overview page perhaps. Auto-advance on the quiz screen. Audio would be amazing - maybe pull from Forvo if a word's pronunciation is available. Great otherwise.

Some characters with accents are so messed up you can't read what word it is supposed to be. I think this corresponds to "ô". Also the quiz mode is not very useful and is buggy (for example, it is impossible to select prentice tense). Needs to be more mixup of tenses and subjects. For example, a good question with good answer options would be: pedir, eu, presente - pedo, peço, pido, ponho. That could be difficult. Instead what it does is: pedir, eu, presente - pedimos, pede, pedem, peço. And then it is a real no brainer and waste of time.

Also does not used the novo ortográfica (new spelling) that has been in effect since 2008!

The application provides two ways of studying Portuguese verbs: one is the conjugation lists and the other is a quiz where you select the verb tense and whether it will be an ar, er, or ir verb and it asks you to select the correct conjugation from a list of five conjugations.

The program is pretty fast and the verbs seem correct. However, on my iPod, I could not get the program to select the present tense from the drop down list, and to select among the different ar, er, or ir verbs, the text is sideways.

I also think there could also be a more global quiz where it includes all verb tenses or forms--I have used websites where you can specify the number of questions and the range of verb tenses and the quiz is more challenging.

Hope the developer keeps moving the program forward.

I downloaded the latest version and it keeps crashing everytime I go to press the Quiz button - please fix this!!! Otherwise it's a good app for quick learning of the verbs and all the tenses.

I love this app but I wish the test were harder or they had difficulty levels. That you could bookmark words from the quizzes (like ones u keep getting wrong) and of course that they had more irregular verbs

I've had this app for a while and have enjoyed it. My only problem is that the current interface doesn't always seem that responsive. I tap a word and it seems to take a while to tell me if i'm right or wrong. Otherwise, it's a great app.

Great app! There are a couple problems with some of the characters that come up funny looking, like agÃ'1/4Entar for some verbs. Other than that, it's a great value for quizing yourself on verbs and also looking up verbs in both portuguese and english.
