To win races, it is absolutely essential to set up your machine to best suit both you and the track conditions.
To facilitate this, Yamaha Motors has developed the PowerTuner app for the Yamaha YZ series and WR series (*1).
You can now quickly and easily adjust engine and suspension settings using the app to best suit every rider and any conditions.
In PowerTuner, all features are available at no additional cost!
Want to set up the machine to run faster?
⇒ Intuitive and easy settings. More detailed settings are also available. Make settings as per your choice by referring to the setup guide!
Want to check the recorded usage information such as speed, throttle opening, engine speed, fuel consumption?
⇒ You can now use your smartphone as a machine information monitor!
Want to check how much your lap time improves after customizing the machine settings in the app?
⇒ Measure your times lap-by-lap with the connected button on the machine!

■ Description
･Mapping
There are three setting types:
(1) Fuel Injection (FI) and Ignition (IG)
Intuitive and easy adjustment by selecting "Smooth ⇔ Aggressive". If you want more detailed settings, you can adjust each with 16 points (4 x 4) according to the engine speed / throttle opening.
(2) Traction Control
Adjust the level of intervention in 3 levels.
(3) Launch Control
Set the "Rev limit" for launches.
･Monitor
The race log, failure diagnostics, machine status, vehicle speed, throttle opening, engine speed, fuel consumption, water temperature, intake air temperature, and battery voltage are displayed on the smartphone.
･Lap timer (Time)
Measure lap times with “Multi-function Button” on the left handlebar. After, check the data recorded by the machine's CCU on your smartphone. Since lap-by-lap measurement is available, you can numerically check the settings effect and lap time discrepancies in actual races.
･Set Up
A FAQ-style setup guide is available for engine and suspension settings. Since it is easy to check the setting instructions on your smartphone, anyone can easily setup the engine and suspension.
■ Supported environment OS: iOS11 or higher
･This app requires a smartphone.
･It is not guaranteed that the app will work with all devices.
■ Precautions:
･Use this app safely in compliance with all traffic rules and regulations.
･Only use it when the machine is parked in a safe place.
･It is not guaranteed that this app will work with all machines. CCU installation location and installation method may affect accuracy, sensitivity, and operation of the CCU.

I think the app is really cool but every time I ride I connect my phone to the bike and leave my phone in the garage. When I’m done riding it’ll say like for example 5min but when I reconnect my bike next time I ride those 5min are at 0. Can anyone help with this

Like a few have said just wish you could lock your bike with the app since it doesn’t have keys, then I wish that I could change the speed from km/h to mph but other than that a great tool to have and nice to see total ride time on bike and far exceeds other manufacturers

Can’t download Yamaha tunes from the Internet
The app seems to work fine by itself but when I try and download maps from the Yamaha website and import them to the app my phone crashes every time. Very annoying

Yamaha Can you do a future that you can turn on your bike through the app or shut it off because they don’t have keys. YZ450F 2021 software.

IOS 14 issues
I’m having issues with IOS 14 as well. I can connect to the WiFi network but the app shows no data and won’t connect to the bike. Hope you can fix this soon!

Love the gytr tuner app!
I rely on this app nearly every time I ride. I have a very diverse riding style and the gytr power tuner app allows me to monitor my maintenance intervals and tune my bike to my liking every ride! I absolutely love it!

UNDURE PASSWORD
Purchased a used 2019 Yz250f and the password to the WiFi box is missing. No way to my knowledge of recovering it without buying a new box I was told. Is it possible to still find it? It is not on the back of the box.

WR 450 power tuner app
Total garbage, will not download maps and will not go above +2 on ignition when you load manually. I took it to the local Yamaha dealer and they couldn’t get it to work correctly, then they wouldn’t give me a refund. I will never buy another Yamaha👎,next bike will be a Husqvarna.
