Description

Great App to get from counting to first grade math.

With the help of 6 different types of exercises and adjustable difficulty, your child will have additions and subtractions down in no time!

By splitting numbers (step 2) children learn intuitively that the order in a sum is not important i.e. 1+2 = 2+1 = 3, basically how subtractions are related to additions; this is why the method is widely used around the world for children in first grade, such as Belgium and the Netherlands. Once number splitting is mastered, all the other exercises become easy.

Little dots under the numbers when doing sums up to 10 provide additional help to children in all the exercises.

All the animated backgrounds are peaceful with some animations but avoiding sensory overload and distractions.

Lizzity,
Monster math
I thought this was a pretty good game. Considering you’re one person developing these apps, it’s really good! I think it’s great for children who want to educate themselves of maths. I loved playing it, even if I’m not a small child. This is my favorite app of Vermillion.

Monster Math
Just discovered this app for children to practice basic addition and subtraction. The friendly monsters are helpful and I particularly enjoyed snakes.

The developer mentioned that he has an autistic son and this is a fun way to reinforce number understanding.

I tried the challenges and they really were! I remember flash cards in elementary school and was petrified that I might be called on.
That was 60 odd years ago and I still count on my fingers...

I think my young grandchildren will enjoy this app.
