Best online recipe app I’ve used
I’ve really enjoyed using PrePear so far, and am thankful they haven’t completely eliminated the free user option (as has happened to me 2x with other apps). My only quibble is that the iPad app *still* doesn’t have landscape mode, which is the only way I use my iPad when cooking. So I just have to use the desktop mode, and I find that sometimes it freezes or hangs and I have to reload the page to get all my recipes to load. But otherwise I love that you can import recipes from blogs, which works for about 75-80% of the blogs I frequent.
(Developers, please feel free to tell me if I just missed where I can switch to landscape mode in the app!)

Best Recipe/Menu Planning App Out There!
Count me in as a Prepear fanboy!! It’s rare that you can say that an app has changed the way you do things, but that is exactly the case with Prepear. It’s by far the best one out there that collects your recipes and handles your meal plans. I’ve tried a bunch of them - and this one handles what it does so efficiently and effectively. I’ve read a little about the developers, and the app was started by parents who were trying to figure out an easier way to handle meals, recipes, and groceries for their families - so it’s designed with an eye on being super useful and by people who are actively using this and trying to make it better. I’ve been pleased with the app updates so far, and look forward to what they have in store “coming soon”. Sure, it doesn’t have as many of the bells and whistles as other similar apps, but I didn’t find those nearly as intuitive to use - this one just plain works! Love the Prepear Mode when cooking - and the way it handles the pantry and groceries added from the meal plan is really smart. Menu planning is a breeze - and it’s really easy to plug in a menu planning service as well. I use Super Healthy Kids - and it’s changed the way my family eats. If you’ve got picky eaters like me, I don’t know of anything better out there. It’s a game changer. This is one of my most used apps by far, and I very pleased with it!

Updates have ruined the experience
I used to LOVE this app, and have used it for years for meal planning and grocery shopping. It took me *months* to add recipes and modify them the way I use them, but the time investment was generally worth it because of the usefulness of the app, so I was ok with that.
Whatever happened with this new update has completely ruined the experience. They are pushing Prepare Gold so much that I can’t use what I had already invested in my time. Now I have to sign in every time I open the app, navigate too many ads for Prepare Gold to get to what I want, and when I do get there and I can’t get in to my cookbooks at all. On the rare occasion I CAN see my recipes, I can only see pictures of them but not the ingredients. Which means I can’t use it any more to meal plan, create a grocery list, etc. The app is completely useless to me now.
There are Gold advertisements everywhere, which is annoying. I know they want me to buy the full version, but now I don’t want to out of spite.
I’m so disappointed. They had a good product, and now I’m not sure what I’m going to do. All I know is that, because of the way this was handled, I would now rather invest in another program and start from scratch than I would pay for Gold.

Best way to plan meals!
I LOVE this app! This is like Ziplist of the past but better! It’s my new Pinterest. It already comes loaded with great healthy recipes. But the beauty is that you can add your own personal recipes as well as from the web! Love that it saves pictures of the recipes from the web. Love that you get a grocery list generated by section and that you can remove ingredients already on hand. My favorite trick because of the recipe pictures is that I can hand over my phone to my kids and ask them to plan our meals for the week from my cookbook. I already know the options they’re choosing from are fab (picked by me) but then they are the ones to blame if someone doesn’t like the meal! Not every website seamlessly adds their picture or directions at times and when I add ingredients it’s not as intuitive with the typing in a minor way (plus then it’s not categorized for tour list) but all of that is a small price to pay to how many advantages it affords! I have the website up pretty much every day to ‘pin’ a recipe that comes my way!

Great app!
This app saves me so much time!! The cook mode is amazing. It makes it so you don’t have to scroll from ingredients to directions and the best part, it keeps the screen from going black and having to unlock your phone or iPad mid recipe. The shopping list make grocery shopping so much easier as well. You no longer have to add up how many eggs or lbs of chicken you need, this app does it all for you. I just check off what I already have at home and everything that’s left is what I need to pick up at the store. The planner is very easy to use and if you make a recipe and like it you can save it to your recipe box to make again. It’s also very easy to add a recipe from the internet, most copy over without need to do anything further. It also allows you to modify a recipe and save it. Really helpful when you’re cutting back on the sugars in recipes. All around this is a great app and well worth the $60 for the year, that breaks down to only $5 a month. Get it already!

THE BEST!
I’m amazed how well it’s made. I tried to upload a recipe from anywhere else, and almost perfectly adjusted ingredients/measurements and such in few seconds!
Meal planning section is connected with Walmart app, that’s so wonderful and my grocery trip is done in 10 min.
I also try to make my own cookbooks so that this is the only place I need when I cook.
So many great recipes from food bloggers, I’m having fun discovering. Foodnetwork actually tried similar thing and recently gave up and discontinued their subscription, that I understand why — so many annoying issues between their app and their partners apps(Amazon, Instacart, etc.) I do not see any of issues I had with Food Network here, so well made for all people, bloggers, and just a busy mom like me.
Btw, you don’t need to pay for subscription, still tons of recipes accessible. I LOVE IT!

Huge Time Saver!
I have loved using PrePear for the past month and a half. It’s easy to import recipes, get ideas from past weeks or other users, plan meals, and create grocery lists! I love that I can do all of this easily from my phone while I’m rocking a baby to sleep or waiting at a pharmacy. I can even plan my week in the parking lot of the grocery store if I have to! I don’t have any friends who use the app yet so the social feature isn’t very useful to me right now. But everything else has saved me tons of time! I used to just enjoy the cooking part but I truly enjoy planning and organizing meals thanks to this app.
The app devs and support team are also super responsive. I’m excited to see this platform grow! It has absolutely improved the way that I plan and prepare meals for my family.

Love this app
It has it all. The ability to plan for an extended period of time. I do it for the month. The ability to add your own recipes or use from the many cookbooks that are listed. And the grocery list is easy to use. The only thing i would like to see is the ability to use the landscape mode on the iPad. I do realize it is available on the cook mode but not the planning mode.
Update: i started with the free trial on six sisters. I immediately started getting emails for prepear gold. It was very confusing and i was not sure if i got gold if i would still have access to six sisters. I finally canceled six sisters and went with prepear gold

Fabulous Design, Wonderful App, Wretched Logon
If you can manage to stay logged on, this is a great resource. This is EASILY a 5-star app... if I weren’t locked out right now. Seems to be a habitual problem. Hope you can fix it, as I’m currently without all the recipes I’ve curated. This is a major problem with the subscription apps. I paid for the year membership, but I have no access. If I purchased (and therefore owned) the app, there’d be no logon to contend with. I hope my hard work has not been lost forever!

I use Prepear daily.
I can’t believe that everyone isn’t using this app yet. It is incredibly easy to use. I’ve planned menus from scratch using recipes I’ve saved and searching for new ones, and I have also been a Prepear Gold subscriber where all the menus are done for you. Everything is customizable. Grocery lists are a cinch. I NEVER follow the meal plan as written. I go through, move meals to other days, switch stuff up for what’s already in my freezer, omit stuff on days I know will be out, etc! And the option to save recipes from outside websites alone is worth trying this app out. Updates are consistent. Help and customer service are great. Highly recommended.
