PrepositionBuilder™ is designed to help elementary aged children learn the correct use of prepositions and learn how prepositions can change the meaning of a sentence.

During play, the student is presented an image and must drag a preposition to complete a sentence about the image. If the student chooses the wrong answer, the image and sentence change to show the student the proper use of the preposition they chose and how it changes the image. Once a student completes a module, they unlock a short animation that is part of a larger story. They must complete all the modules to see the entire story.

PrepositionBuilder™ offers a rich and fun way for all students to learn proper preposition use.

rebeccas76,
Another great app by the Mobile Education Store!
This is a great app and will be quite useful for those children who need help in the area of language and constructing proper sentences in regardings to using the correct prepositions. The app is very easy to use and there are nine different preposition modules available. One great feature is that there is immediate, corrective feedback. If a child answers a question correctly, there is positive reinforcement as the correct answer is stated again. If a child answers incorrectly by not choosing the proper preposition to be in the given sentence, then the image under the sentence is actually changed to represent the sentence using the incorrect preposition that the child has just chosen. This is very brief, but is great because it shows the child why his or her answer was not correct and how it affects the meaning of the sentence. Several profiles can be stored in app so that more than one child can use the app. In addition, the data in the profiles can be saved for the student(s) and reports can be formed with the data in order to track the progress of the student. Great app to use for language skills!

Awesome app for kids with autism
Preposition Builder makes use of errorless teaching and applied behavior analysis methodologies to teach and evaluate understanding of prepositions. Like other Mobile Education Store apps, Preposition Builder can keep track of progress of multiple students in a class. Prior to starting an exercise, the teacher (or student!) can choose which prepositions are being evaluated, and whether or not to record the student’s voice reading each sentence. A series of short story animations can be unlocked with each completed section. This provides incentive for students to complete the exercises so that they can find out how the story ends.

To provide documentation of student progress, Preposition Builder allows reports to be emailed to students or teachers. My only recommendation for future updates to this program would be the ability to email progress reports for ALL students (or perhaps an option to print?). Depending on the number of students in a class, it can become tedious sending individual records for each student.

A great app! Pictures are clear, colorful, and engaging. Sounds and speaking are clear and well-pronounced. I like the fact that when a wrong answer is given we don't just hear "sorry, that's wrong," or "no, try again," or "that's close, you're almost there." The picture actually changes to show how the wrong word changes the meaning of the sentence entirely. My son caught on quickly and enjoys using it. It's a game to him, but he's learning and doesn't realize it. One addition I would recommend that may make the app able to be used a little more independently would be when a picture comes up, before the word choices come up on the screen, the voice would ask a question for which the sentence being constructed would be an appropriate answer. For example, the screen with the sentence, "The boy is putting the cereal _______ the bowl," the initial spoken question might be "What is the boy doing with the cereal?" or " What is the boy doing?" Love this app...good work Mobile Educaiton Store!

Incredible app
This is truly an amazing application. The images are beautiful, the interface is so intuitive and the prepositions are shown with complete accuracy. I love the fact that when my daughter gets the wrong answer, the image changes to show her the correct use of the preposition she chose. She is learning when she gets the right answer AND the wrong answer. The pictures are so funny that she gets the wrong answer on purpose just to see them. It is such a joy to watch her play, she is laughing and having such a good time. The encouragement animations are cute and funny too, and they make her want to continue to play to see what is next. One of the few educational games she doesn't want to stop playing. I love all the Mobile Education Store apps, but this app seriously raises the bar.

Great app for teaching prepositions!
PrepositionBuilder™ is a fantastic app to teach children a wide variety of prepositions. You can choose from 9 different modules, each of which target 3 specific prepositions. The app uses fun cartoon pictures to depict each sentence, including the preposition, and children need to select the correct preposition, then drag and drop it into the sentence. This app supports multiple users, and has options for turning off audio instruction and correct answer reinforcement. There are no ads or social links. My son enjoys learning with Mobile Education apps, so he was a little disappointed that he had to wait through an entire module (about 21 questions) for a reward animation. I would like to see the ability to change the frequency of the reward animation in settings, as it is in several other apps by this developer. I do recommend this app though.
OtterMom4,
Awesome app!
Mobile Education has a winner with this app! It is easy to use has bright cheery graphics and has many ways to assist in learning. This app visually shows the player if they have made the right decision. It will say the words as they are chosen and read the sentence so the child can hear if they are choosing the word they want and whether it seems to fit in the sentence. The ability to record the sentence also helps the child playing to see if their pronounciation is correct. This gap engages so many aspects of learning & intigrates them together. My 5 year old was able to successfully use the app in less than a minute and stayed engaged for close to 30 minutes! Way to go Mobile Education!!!
SGP9,
Wonderful App!!!
What a wonderfully designed app! It allows you to track which prepositions your child has mastered and which still require more practice. The visuals are priceless. Even when a child chooses an incorrect response, they show you the image that matches the incorrect word, allowing children to compare the visual images represented by both prepositions. It also gives you the option to record the correct answer. This allows children to personalize the preposition they have mastered with their own voice. Thank you, Mobile Education, for making something as abstract as prepositions fun and accessible to all.

Great Language App!
This is a perfect way to teach prepositions. My students love this app, and the pictures and cartoon animations are a lot of fun. I am a big fan of everything this company makes, and this one has that same record/playback feature that I love so much in the other apps. My single favorite thing about this new one is that the wrong answer gently teaches the correct use. If they pick the wrong answer, they hear the narrator's voice restate that preposition in a sentence as the picture changes just enough to show what the preposition they chose really means. You can just see the “Oh, now I get it!” right on their faces. It’s brilliant. Worth every penny.
faithfulmiracles,
Wonderful app!
I love this app! I love that it combines visual and auditory learning, making it more concrete in my 7 yr olds brain. The best feature is that they provide a visual when a child chooses the wrong word for the sentence. This really provides my boy a chance to really think about what he is seeing and hearing and gives him another chance to process it correctly. The only thing I wish it had was the option to automatically read the sentence. If your child can not read, you will definitely need to use this app with him/her. I don't see that as a bad thing though :) Well worth the money!
TheFatiguedMom,
Wonderful App
I wanted to let you know we are enjoying the PrepositionBuilder app. It has a wonderful video tutorial and is easy to navigate. We could customize it for our child and it was also very easy for him to navigate. He enjoyed the pictures that made the work more of a game, the fact he could record his voice and the fact he could create a pirate story as he achieved correct answers along the way. I feel this app is an excellent resource for children learning their prepositions and think the target group is quite broad (4-10). You will get your money's worth.
