I’m shocked it worked
My son needed new glasses and we weren’t hearing back from the eye doctor fast enough. His rx was current, we just needed access to it. I wasn’t able to use my glasses to test this (I know the rx to verify). My rx was too high to read lol. So i just went with what it gave me on here for his. It was excellent.
The app was tricky to do, it took me about 30 minutes of Move your glasses closer to the camera/computer many. Many. Many times. Not sure if that was actually part of the process or I was just not steady enough. Either way I don’t care. This was awesome.

What?!
I came across an add about this app and I said “why not?” expecting another scam that asks you to subscribe just to get the wrong prescription. Well clearly that wasn’t the case, the app gave me the exact prescription my eye doctor had previously prescribed! This is something I wasn’t expecting at all! Tech industry has come a long way indeed. I suggest you also check out the cool designs on the website if you’re in the market for a new pair of glasses.

Amazing APP
Forgot where my prescription was when I was buying online and with this app it told me !! Well done! Why go to an optom anymore when you can just scan, browse, try and buy all with smartbuyglasses! Well done !

Unclear and frustrating
Confusing and contradictory instructions, with the constant “too close” “too far” — if why can’t it just say “move your phone toward/away from the screen”?
And “make sure the dots are visible” — an example or explanation of exactly what that means would be a help. It keeps saying that when by everything I can see, the dots ARE visible.
I’ve gone through at least half an hour with the app twice — to have it then announce, AFTER the whole process, that the image is “blurry.” Once I got all the way through the scan to “processing” — exciting! — only to have it get to 99% and crash out. Then another round of scanning and it’s “blurry” again.
Useless, frustrating mess of an app.

After 20+ tries it didn’t work
Went through way too many tries only to get” image is blurry, clean your camera, except the app kept losing focus every time so it wasn’t my camera. Made it past that problem eventually and got to the tilting stage. Every time for over 20 tries it couldn’t read my prescription and wanted to know if I wanted help (contact support) but I don’t know what support could do to help through email or try again. After 30 tries, my fingers are in pain and I’ve deleted the app. Not worth keeping when the app fails so often.

And yet again, I try to scan my current glasses I get to the point where you have to scan the dots in the card and it just keeps saying make sure the dots are visible on your mobile screen and they were and it still didn’t work

I tried for a straight 30 minutes and nothing
My right arm became numb from holding my freaking glasses MIDWAY BETWEEN PHONE AND SCREEN that I switched to holding my glasses with my left hand. And wow after another 20 minutes, I’m willing to drive to to get an actual exam during covid than to stand here like a statue as the blood drains from my hands. This needs to be worked on please!

Bad company or useless app
I used this app and the company told me that my prescription might be wrong because the lenses had different plus/minuses. So either this app doesn’t work or they are a bad company! It’s been almost three weeks and I still haven’t received the glasses I paid for!

Not device inclusive!
This is ridiculously complicated for no reason even though it has the simplest instructions. At the very LEAST we should be told what devices will and won’t work for this. Entirely too much hassle with nothing to show for it.
