Thick hair,
Landscape mode
My church has used this app for several weeks now with little issues. However, this past week, the levels for two separate mixes defaulted back to an unknown default setting and would not allow us to adjust levels until closing the app and reopening. This is a huge issue with live performances as several instruments in the mix suddenly change volume levels. In addition to this recent issue, several phones have not been able to use the landscape setting and therefore they cannot adjust levels at all. This is also a vital issue as the app is basically useless to those individuals. Please update this app and correct these bugs. I noticed it’s been 2 years since an update and reading through the reviews, these are common issues and my problem is by no means unique.
New SL32III owner,
Worked great for awhile, now un-useable in Landscape Mode, very fragile app
Our music group purchased a Studio Live 32 Series III mixer in Nov. 2017, we all installed QMix-UC on our iPhones (and on one iPad) and everything was working wonderfully! Using router specified by Presonus (TPLink unit). About a week ago (corresponding we think to the release of iOS 11.2.2 on January 8, 2018), this program no longer runs correctly. Cannot select an Aux mix even when given permission on mixer. Only remembers the last aux mix assigned prior to problems starting a week ago. Only the Wheel of me works, landscape mode is either grayed out or non-functional. Most devices will not go into landscape mode (where the individual faders of an assigned aux mix and groups can be accessed and controlled). We see over the history of this app that many problems are linked to releases of new iOS versions. We think this is probably the case here maybe. Having this program to run our individual aux mixes was a major selling point to us to purchase the new digital mixing console. We had to learn the hard way also to not let our devices go to sleep, else you have to start all over and reconnect to the mixer/go though permissions set up all over again (known problem reported by other users). Have tried to contact Presonus technical support to no avail, on hold for 1 hour and 40 minutes, no response, Finally gave up.
ChrisLee_38,
Terrific battery killer
The app itself is fantastic. Our church has been using this app to control musician’s mixes wirelessly for years. However, it MURDERS every battery. We just compared battery stats, and they were unanimous. It doesn’t matter what software version you’re on or how new your phone is (brand new iphone here). Through leaving the app on and connected for 20 minutes, we usually lose 15-25%.

As I said, the app works great, and does exactly what we need. But if the battery issue could be fixed (or at least reduced), that’d be worth a 4-star review. (I don’t believe 1 or 5-star reviews should be taken seriously).
rjmdrum,
Great App -Disastrous Battery drain
Qmix -uc works very well but it is a severe battery drainer. Did a gig last night with it on iphone 10. Started with 95% battery charge and every other app purposely shut down so the phone resource would only be dedicated to using Qmix -uc. By the end if the gig my battery drained to 10% batter charge!!!! Other members in the group had similar results.
Please work to address this battery drain issue and this app otherwise will be a valuable asset.
Hordan jacket,
Does not work with iPhone X
This was a great app before I got the iPhone X. With the new phone, I can no longer see the individual mixers. With my last phone, you turn the phone sideways to see the individual mixers. This phone doesn’t respond. My dad also has the iPhone X and he had he same problem. I’ve waited for an update to fix this issue since October. As a drummer, it’s very inconvenient during a live performance to not be able to adjust the mixers to what I need. Furthermore, It is impossible to get ahold of tech support. They make it hard as possible to reach out to tech support. I’ve been all over their website and no luck. So this is the only way I know how to reach them. Very frustrating!
Drmm3r01,
Needs to be able to unmute channels!
This app is good, but one of the main pitfalls is you can’t see what channels are muted in your assigned aux mix!

In our case we use these mixes for in ears and everyone has the app to control their mix, but they have to rely on the sound person to unmute channels in that mix. It would make sense to have the ability to see and mute/unmute channels within your mix right from the app.

Big Problem: Screen Won’t Rotate
In theory, this app is amazing. Having control over each instrument, vocal, or other channel to customize my monitor is a dream. In reality, ever since I upgraded to an iPhone 12 Pro, the screen won’t rotate for me to be able to adjust the levels of each channel, rendering the app mostly useless. My portrait lock isn’t on: other apps work just fine. This seems to be a programming glitch for this app specifically. If someone would fix that, this app would be a wonderful tool.
TD-ADS,
Love It!
it may not be that handy if you play lead guitar, but I set the phone on my keyboard and can make quick changes easily. No more getting killed by your buddy’s too hot lead setting. You know it’s coming, just pot it down a bit. I haven’t asked the sound man for a thing in 2 years. An absolute must if you use in-ears
ATC-Boomer,
Update takes away all usefulness
The version before this update was fantastic. Now all we have are gray boxes where there used to be sliders. All functionality is gone. Please tell me this is an issue that is being fixed! Or at least roll back to the previous version so we can actually use this app while you figure out what went wrong. It’s was a solid app that was perfect for controlling in ear monitors. Now we are stuck without any recourse. I don’t even know: is it possible to just go back to the previous version? I was very happy with it.
mdrmo,
Hoped it would work
Saw all the terrible reviews. Went ahead with StudioLive 24R purchase for QMix and other features. While most aspects of the 24R work fantastically, QMix is very underwhelming. I can assign mixes, see channel signals etc. all appears well except I can’t move the wheel of me and there is zero audio actually coming out of my phone. Latest updates, firmware, yada yada, no dice. Presonus gear has always been stellar. Not sure why they can’t figure this one out. Signed, hopelessly hearing hardwired : /
