Description

Progress Knight is a life-sim incremental based in a fantasy/medieval setting, where you must progress through the career ladder and acquire new skills to become the ultimate being.

You first start off as a beggar, barely being able to feed yourself as the days go by. However, over the years you learn new skills and gain plenty of work experience to enter new high paying jobs while managing your living expenses...

Will you decide to take the easy route of doing simple commoner work? Or will you go through harsh training to climb the ranks within the military? Or maybe will you decide to study hard and enrol in a magic academy, learning life-impacting spells? Your career path is open-ended, the decision is up to you.

Eventually, your age will catch up to you. You will be given an option to prestige and gain xp multipliers (based on the performance of your current life) for your next life at the cost of losing all your levels and assets. Fear not though, as you will re-gain your levels much, much more quickly than in your previous life...

After multiple rebirths, the paths of good and evil beckon you. Will you embrace the darkness, becoming a formidable force that strikes fear into the hearts of others? Or will you choose the path of righteousness, embodying the essence of purity and compassion?

This remastered version integrates the base game from ihtasham42, featuring a complete graphic/UI redesign and new exclusive content (choose your path between evil or angelic).

Estimated total gameplay time: 50 hours (without boosts).

Demurral85567,
Not bad. Lacking a bit in features
I am a huge fan of Progress Knight Mobile and jumped on this one when I saw it. Visually, it is spiffier and I like the that the skills have little flavor cards. Being able to choose an avatar is nice and I really like that it ages as time goes on and looks different if you choose the evil or good path.

It is a bit bare bones though if you are coming from playing PKM. It seems to follow almost the exact same progression, save for the flavor of being able to choose “good” early on, but is missing a few jobs from TAA and doesn’t really make it worthwhile over the military path, save for unlocking the spells, which are a bit basic and fewer as well. The shop tells the same story. Pretty much the same progression, except for missing a few.

Overall, the visual upgrade is a big improvement imo. It’s a bit limiting In features, but it’s also very new and I hope to see updates and improvements for the future. I’ll be keeping an eye on this one. Lots of potential.

Absolutely Perfect!!
I usually never leave reviews but, ever since the first progress knight I have fallen in love, and this is a wonderful rendition, adding more depth and a bit of graphic into the world, phenomenal so far, I’m at the second tier rebirth, and I love that it’s a choice of good and evil, stoked to see more, and would love to see further content or even remasters of 2.0, or reborn versions, absolutely amazing. Please keep doing what you’re doing!

Great Time Crunch Game
Honestly have had a ton of fun playing this. Art is good, progressions is nice. Really solid.

On another note, there’s currently some optional ads in game that I cannot click out of, they’re covered by the pull down menu of my IPhone 11. Might be something the developer wants to look into?
Quietmode,
It’s alright
Gameplay is fine and slightly improved from online. You can watch ads for additional boosts but they only last 10minutes and disappear if you close the game. Should be 30min at least

Offline progrsss is super hit and miss. I’ve had it run fine, had it do nothing, and a few times had it show progress but then crash and revert back to where you were before. Definitely needs to be addressed. I deleted the game because of this.
RillonDodgers,
Perfect
It takes the original and makes it much more visually pleasing. It’s a fun game!

I only have one request/suggestion. When buying the remove ad option, it’d be nice to see the Happiness potion timer increase from 10 minutes to 30 or 60 minutes.
Dillon Faries,
Great
Love the rework but needs a way to increase time speed again!!

A great remaster with better graphics to an already great game

Disclaimer: I did pay the $3 to remove ads just as I did the original so my experience is based on the ad-free version.

I loved the first progress knight on mobile, so when I saw this it was a must-have. I’m about 10 lifetimes in, half of those through the new angelic path. The angelic path is just a reskin of the evil path from what I can tell but still I neat little addition.
The cosmetic additions honestly took a bit to get used to, with the pictures and non-minimalistic style there’s a lot more bloat than the original progress knight(I know that’s kind of the point so not a complaint) that took some getting used to. A couple lifetimes in though and I had gotten used to the extra scrolling and layout.
The avatars are a neat addition as well as the two characters that specialize in military or mage. The ability to have multiple characters going is pretty cool too.
The flavor text pop ups are a bit annoying just because the clickable area to pop up flavor text is around 2/3rds the card for each thing, so when you’re tapping things to activate make sure you tap the bottom 1/3rd on the text as tapping the picture just pops up flavor text. Maybe changing the text area to a small “i” icon in the corner of the card like most games do would be a nice update.

So far the only thing that seems to be missing that I haven’t been able to find is the Auto-learn toggle that the original has to auto learn all your skills evenly, honestly later lifetimes are a bit unbearable without that so I’m not sure if I’m overlooking it somewhere or it’s not in this version of the game but if it’s not then I really hope it gets added soon, micromanaging skills later in the game is just a huge hassle.

Overall I give it a 5 stars because it does do a really good job scratching that progress knight itch but without that auto-skill button I likely won’t be doing later lifetimes.
Vcjesusfreak,
Wait to play until update - not fun in its present state
The game says there are updates coming and this review was written on 8/21/2023 - if there isn’t a big update between the date of this review and the date you read it, I would hold off on playing until that happens.

This game starts interesting as you are able to get some varied gameplay as each new ability is introduced. After the first reset, you quickly get to a point where there is virtually no new progression and you just wait to get to the next reset. There are minor changes here and there, but because you’re able to cap out your income relatively early - there are times where any further progression becomes pointless beyond waiting to reset.

Even worse, the game oftentimes doesn’t give you any indication of what you are reaching for. I played it through to the end in the hopes that I would see new mechanics - but it never occurred.

There are three prestige levels, however, they’re designed in a way that often it is better to skip the first level of prestige once you’re decently far through the game.

The second level of prestige unlocks some mechanics that speed the process but don’t provide any variety.

The third level of prestige is the worst. There are two options that can be chosen and they both play the exact same way. They’re only chosen once, you don’t swap between them. So after you complete the first option, the game forces you to play through the second option with no variation beyond a boost to your xp gain.
