One of the rare games that I didn't purchase. This can only be described as a mess. First, the interface was terrible. About 1/4 of the screen is used as the border, so you lose a huge amount of space. The controls are inexplicably miniscule, so they take up only about half of the border.
Second, the controls are both finicky and clunky. It's very easy to inadvertently click out of an HOP or mini game, but often very hard to get the game to recognize that you've selected something.
Third, the hint system is near useless. The hint cursor is a rose that (when selected) aimlessly wanders around the general area where you're supposed to do something.
Fourth, there are inconsistencies throughout. I was sure I needed to use my doll on the cable car HOP, but the game kept saying the doll couldn't help me. 3-4 items later, suddenly I could (and had to) use the doll.
Finally, the mini games in the trial period were screwy, which is never a good sign. For example, the ball in the spiral maze was unresponsive, so that I had to skip it.
AMAX Interactive seems to be a pinch hitter as I've seen them appear in half a dozen series but never more than once. I have yet to see a good game from them. Maybe others have had a different experience.
Net: I don't recommend at any price.
P.S. Don't waste time trying to erase the chalkboard. It's a red herring, and an annoying one because all of the text comes back.
