KaigedAngel,
Good, but needs a little more
This is the best app for puppy potty training I’ve found so far.

I like that my daughter and I can both log for the same puppy. It means a lot less of us saying, “he pooped, but no pee”, as we hand off the puppy care all day long.

I also like that it is fast. One button entries make it very quick and easy to enter and again communicate across a family.

The alerts are sometimes helpful. While they are not reliable (see below), they do remind us to either enter that last potty or wake that puppy up so he doesn’t stay up all night long, or that he hasn’t been offered food for a while.

Now, improvements:

I’d like to see it include sleeping and playing as a button. Mainly because these are critical to potty training. We all know a puppy needs to go out when it wakes up or midway through a good romp, but the timing of this defers by dog. To be able to track that would be very helpful. I would add that my daughter, the perfectionist, would like to be able to note if they play/sleep is in the kennel, on the floor, in arms. I would say this is beyond the scope of this app and would honestly cause it to lose the quick and easy that I like.

The predictor, is not a great predictor. I understand that algorithms are tough, but I also know that this one isn’t correct. So, unless it can be more reliable, I’d say just get rid of it. Again, tracking sleep and play may make it more reliable...
SoupSoldier,
Perfect!
I love this app! We have two 3 year old dogs and they are completely potty trained, so why do I NEED this app? To save my marriage! LoL! Okay, that’s a bit hyperbolic, but there’s truth to it. There was a constant frustration with me taking the dogs out to pee/poop in the morning and then maybe the wife does it later that day and we could never remember which dog did what! It would constantly be 9:00pm and one dog would ring the bell signifying it has to potty, but we could never remember if they went already or if they were just ringing to go outside... And the whole “I thought YOU fed them!” argument is gone now too! The fact that we can both download the app and share the data, that’s the key! Now we’re on a much better schedule with them and seriously this simple app has released so much tension and frustration between us.

My one recommendation would be this: since we’re using the app for older dogs, we don’t really need an “accident” or “water” button. It would be nice to have the option to toggle those buttons or to customize the buttons. For instance, our boy dog has skin allergies and he gets special organic “treats” that help keep his allergies at bay. It would be nice to customize a button to say “treat” or something. Again with the boy dog, he has very bad seizures and he’s on some medication to treat them (phenobarbital is a MIRACLE!) and it would be so helpful to customize a button to say medicine.

Thank you so much for this app!!!

So helpful but could use some updates
My husband and I love this app. It makes it so easy for us to keep track of what our dogs have done and when. The prediction part of the app, however, is AWFUL. It averages times across days instead of AMOUNT of time across days. For example, it will tell me that my dog needs to go out at 2:45, when I just took her out at 2:15. It would be much more helpful for it to keep track of how long my dog goes between walks and avg that out instead. It should also take the most recent walk into consideration (restart the clock so that it doesn’t tell me to take her out 20 minutes after I took her out).
I also think it would be great to be able to drop notes in so that we can keep track of any additional info!
Greprepper30,
Very helpful! Two suggestions
1) Logging this simple is SO helpful.
2) It would be helpful if there were notes, especially for accidents (so you could note amount, what happened, and whether he pooped, peed, or both in the accident.
3) another reviewer mentioned this but tracking sleep (maybe with a “sleep start” and “sleep stop” so it shows a timeline and total sleep time when he wakes up) and play (“play start” “play stop”) would make this app even more worth its weight in gold. I’d pay for these extra features even.
Evb!20,
Could easily be improved
This is a very handy app but the tracking options could likely easily be improved. Like others, I would really like to see a sleep button especially, and a play button would also be useful, since we really want to know how much he’s napping each day and after a romp or nap time they usually need to potty. I saw others say they wish they could note type of accident but you can totally do this by entering multiple icons for the same time. (Such as accident and the pee icon with the same time stamp to show it was a pee accident ). We ultimately decided the prediction feature was pretty useless, by it is still a fast and simple way for more than one family member to log the pups activity. If the prediction side was better and we had the ability to note naps my rating would be higher.
xander.lien,
#1 app to download before you get a puppy
Jason and team have done an unbelievable job keeping this app simple. I found this app 5 days after my wife and I got our puppy. It would have saved us from ever single accident that occurred that week. This app is extremely easy to use and the predictive analysis works perfectly. My wife and I love not having to ask each other when our puppy last pooped, peed, ate, drank water or had an accident. We use the same account and everything syncs up seamlessly. We even have the dog sitter, parents and close friends use the app when they are watching our pooch as well. Can’t say enough good things about this app and how well it helps in the early stages of training!

A total life (and house) saver!
Downloaded the app to better track and maintain my puppy’s habits to assist us with housebreaking. With c*vid and working from home, my days tend to run together for me, making keeping track of particular times super hard (water, food, accidents, etc). This app takes the hassle out of all of that by allowing you to easily document events/times within seconds, not to mention the *reminders* it sends! The reminders are my favorite part— they are predictions based on data logged. It’s actually been super accurate and helpful!
ryanwod,
Love this app- wanna make it perfect!
This app is really useful and I love the design and simplicity! It’s also awesome for shared users- although it may need a disclosure that you need to sign up for your accounts using email and not Apple single sign on for it to work properly...

I would love to help make this app even better. The alerts aren’t working for me after a half day of logs... does it take a while for them to start? If so, maybe a disclosure so new users know it takes a while?... also an option for logging long naps would be useful!
mxmemx,
Sharing Puppy
I would give this 5 stars except for sharing problem and no contact developer mechanism. I tried sharing puppy with my partner and they downloaded the app, used Apple to create account (hiding email) without knowing that sharing works only with email registration. We tried to start over, but even after deleting, it is forever connected to Apple and there’s no way to login differently. 😞

I tried finding a way to contact product support and website has no contact form or email or anything.

Otherwise, good app that needs minor improvement to be great. Add sleep times and play times would also improve app.
marissaosman,
So convenient! Would love to see more updates.
This is the best app out of any available for puppy potty tracking. It’s FREE, nice looking, easy to share amongst multiple family members, and makes tracking easy (literally two taps).

Two updates I think are absolutely necessary:

- A notes option for each tracked activity.

For example, it would be super helpful to leave a little note about the details of a pup’s poo for dietary or medical reasons or note if “food” is an actual meal or a snack)

- The option for customizable activity buttons.

As others have suggested, more than just food and water affect potty training. Tracking naps, playtime, and other things would be so, so helpful!

Seriously awesome job, developers. Thanks for your hard work! Our pup appreciates it, and so does our sanity.
