The biggest problem with the app is that when you move the puzzle pieces around, the entire screen moves, pushing some of the puzzle pieces off the screen. It needs to stay still. Both my son and I had a very hard time building the puzzle because of it. Second, it doesn’t confirm that you’ve gotten a puzzle piece correctly placed as you go. Maybe for an older child, that’s fine, but for a younger child (4-7), having a “click” sound—or something—would be really helpful to know they are on the right track so they don’t just keep moving them around. This would be like a real puzzle; you know when you get it right. Third, when it scrambles the pieces, it places many on top of others, making it hard to see all the puzzle pieces. Again, this makes it very difficult for younger players. Finally, once it scrambles the puzzle, there is no option to view the final picture for guidance. Once again, maybe ok for older kids, but for younger kids, this makes it harder than a real puzzle. The illustrations are lovely, and the ability to choose different numbers of pieces for the puzzle to suit different levels is a great idea. The app really needs some updates and fixes though for it to be something we really use. Please fix!
