Description

QuantIC is the UK Quantum Technology Hub in Quantum Enhanced Imaging and we’re working on new technologies that uses quantum physics – the physics of the smallest values such as atoms and photons to make the invisible visible. We’ve created this 3D augmented reality app to demonstrate some of the imaging technologies we are working on such as cameras that can see around corners and cameras that image invisible gases.

To use this app, you’ll need to download and print the A4 PDF of QR codes from our website (https://quantic.ac.uk/education/) which represent items such as a laser, detector etc. Open the app on your tablet or phone and scan the printed QR codes as directed. Have fun trying it out!

For more information on our research, visit quantic.ac.uk

*Please note that the app has been developed as a free educational resource and is still undergoing testing; it should run without issue on suitable devices but it is supplied as is and we cannot be held liable for any issues arising from its use.

Rnc1981,
LiDAR made me Telepathic!!!
No not really. Wish it did, then maybe I could figure out where I need to go for a QRcode that needs to be downloaded to use this app. I’ve spent a good amount of time looking through Quantic’s website. Found nothing. The web- address they advertise is no good, Idk but I can’t find link, to download. It’s too bad, it seems like this would be the most promising app to utilize LiDAR considering where it was developed. Something tells me the developer’s are plenty qualified.
So, anyway, I’ve been through probably most of the apps like this one, and I’m really confused as to how most if not all the apps have the same issue, little to no instruction, or explanation, and dare I say a tutorial. HAHA! Yeah right! Anyhow if a link could be provided, one that’s easy to find, has that ”intuitive “ feel about it. It can’t be too much to ask, can it? 🤔 It can’t be. Anyone that can get light to detect invisible toxic gases, around a corner; can surly include a link and maybe some basic instruction on using their application.
