Description

Race Pace is a race time predictor for runners. Similar to online Riegel or McMillian calculators, with Race Pace you enter your best time for a race distance, then it will estimate your finish times for up to 20 other distances (from 200m to 50 miles).

Run a time trial to gauge fitness and see if that Boston Qualifier is in reach, or just see what you might run a 10K in given your most recent 5K performance.

Race Pace will also automatically show you training paces for your current fitness level or a goal race. Training paces (tempo runs, steady state, long runs, etc) are based on common estimates, but can be fully adjusted to your particular training plan.

Once you have your goal times & paces, the app will automatically generate splits for your next track workout. No more trying to do the math in your head at the track to figure out if those 400 repeats at 5K pace should be 1:49 or 1:52!

All of your predicted race times, track splits, and training paces can be emailed to your coach, yourself, or friends with the touch of a button.

Race Pace features include:

- 23 built in race distances, from 200m to 50 miles.
- Customizable list of distances, pick just those races you are interested in.
- View track splits for any calculated pace, with split times all the way from 100's to 2000's.
- Get your paces for common training runs, with completely customizable formulas to match your training plan.
- Support for metric or english units. Distances in miles or km, paces in min/mile or min/km.
- Adjustable prediction formula. If you are faster at short races or faster at long distance, you can easily adjust the calculations to fit your abilities.
- Email race times or track splits.

Lame
I bought this With the hope that there would be a full list Of training pieces, e.g. recovery, endurance, aerobic, sub threshold, threshold, suprathreshold. Instead it’s just what you see on the app Home page. Not worth it!
Armyxela,
Awful predictions
Makes your times appear way to quick. I put I ran a mile in 4:51 and I got I could run 100 miles With 630 miles. I put my 800 time of 2:10 and it said I could run a 4:22 mile which I'm not even close to. Use the McMillan running calculator online very accurate and free
MikeWinAustin,
Awesome tool for a runner!
If you are a runner (5km, 10km, half marathon, marathon) you undoubtedly do workouts at different paces. This is the perfect tool to quickly figure out what your equivalent 10km pace should be if training for X time in a marathon etc. Not only that, it also gives you breakdowns on the pace, so you don't have to figure out what a 7:16min/mile equals at 200 meters on a track. It's awesome!
On top of that, it also let's you see what different longer paced workouts, tempo/steady state/long run paces should be based on what your race day goal time is.
This is so flexible, that everything is completely adjustable. And when you think you've seen it all, you can also quickly email the specific data to yourself or anyone else, so you have t for future use.
If you're a RUNNER, these are the best couple of dollars you'll spend.
(then again, "run calc" from the same company is really useful too)
J2theY,
Terrific tool for setting target times
If you run a variety of different distances, this app is great for determining what goal times to aim for. In a spring where I ran a 10K, then a 10-miler, then another 10K, then a 5K, it was really helpful to have a solid sense of pacing as my training moved forward.

(FYI, to previous reviewer: 1600m is equivalent to one mile. Your inability to perform basic distance conversions is not a good reason to give a diminished rating to this app.)
Eddiemoto,
Great app
I love this app. It has really been helpful for my running and determining correct paces. At a few races I have been able to give folks race projections based on their times. Very cool.

Only thing I would desperately love to see is splits based on miles and the ability to determine negative split times.
JaySz,
Very nice
The predictions have been very accurate for me. I'm no elite runner, but it helped me while training to get to Boston. The track splits screen was really useful to know my times for 1K and 2K repeats.
Stunna runna,
Great
Very good app for beginners or even serious runners. I use it daily for all workouts.
Ellie37123,
Way too quick
I downloaded this app, hoping that it would be similar to the McMillan running calculator. I don't know what formulas they are using, but the times for the longer distances are way too fast when I put in a 400 m or 5k time.
TSU-GB,
No longer works!
Used to love this. But with latest ios app will no longer open. Time to find different app.

Works great but I run the 1600m run and the 3200m run and I wish these were offered in this app.
