As a native person, I’m glad to see a game on the App Store that isn’t super racist. There’s a story to it that makes native people truly people, which is wonderful. It’s actually pretty fun, too.
Even though it’s really cool, I think you could do a lot more with it. There aren’t a lot of Native American games on the App Store, and truly, there’s not a lot of Native American representation in media. When native kids don’t see themselves portrayed in media, it can make them feel empty and like they’re invisible. I think that you could make a lot of different versions and variations of this game that represent different native peoples.
I’m a Chikashsha person, so here’s my suggestion for southeastern tribes. There’s a Chikashsha family prophecy that says, “When the Chikashsha stop dancing, the world will end.” I think that the story of this game should be that there are a small group of Indians still dancing, but they’re all very old and dying. To survive, a man named He Sits and Kills comes out from a long hunt and says that he will save his people. The game would be based around the southeastern Chickasaw, Choctaw, Cherokee, Creek, and Seminole stomp dance. Idk, it’s just a start. I think it sounds really cool. Just make sure to do your research and represent us accurately. I believe in you guys 😋
