Great idea, poor execution
I would have rated this app one star, but one star ratings are not posted for some reason (I guess the app makers don't want people to see the bad reviews), so I'm forced to give it two in order for my review to post.
The name generator is a great idea, but what is the point in giving the option to filter the names by male/female, and by country origin, if filtering changes nothing?
If you choose the option for US female names and US last names, you still get men's names and foreign names. For example, for a US female first and last name, one of them I got was Roberto O'Leary, which seems Spanish and Irish to me. Also, Jimmy, Dan, Jose . . . Those are not female names, and Diazdelion is certainly not a US name.
If they get it fixed, I'll increase my rating, but if not it earns a forced 2 stars

Worthless
The only way to get into this app is to subscribe when you open it. It is not clear this was going to be charged. Not only that there are 3 options for subscription. There is no place to choose your subscription level on this first screen when you open the app, and their is no way forward, but to subscribe. Also I was billed automatically for the highest price. So terribly misleading only to get into the app and see it is worthless for the name generation purposes I need. I feel so stupid and taken advantage of. I’ve contacted apple. I wish could get the help I needed with this app. That is a bummer I can not, but I’m glad apple will refund this. I was looking to get an artist name. Not even close to being as helpful as the free name generators online, which are somewhat challenging to use there already. Not good.

Why can’t I
Okay so I’m sure this app would be great and very helpful if I could get past the free trial wall. I love to draw and name my drawings. I thought this app would give some inspiration for names. But I literally can’t get past it. Like I have to put in a free trial just to get in the app no thank you so if this just a bug could you maybe put it on your list for things to fix and update. And maybe a version of the app that is free forever and not for however long the trail is and again If that is just a bug fix it please. I’ve also heard that the one star reviews don’t get posted and please post those so people can give their honest opinion. Our feedback will make your app better!

Somehow, it messes up this simple thing
I didn’t think it was possible for any program like this to be bad, but here it is. It now features “diversity,” which is great in theory, but in practice it just dilutes the pool to basically guarantee a totally implausible name. Almost every name combination sounds like an early neural network attempt to make up human names: Georgine Chandrasekara, Lieshaa Lump, Jovan Cracraft, Hilma Runge, Alphonso Lairson, Oralia Mcelhannon, Denae Clowes, Dann Groshong, Ouida Cullifer, and so on, ad infinitum. It usually takes 49 clicks to get one name that sounds like it could be an actual person. I think I’ll go back to the old-fashioned, 100% reliable phone book.

Well I’d say the names are wonderful and unique, so you have to give the app some credit, but it still has problems. First off, there are very few first name cultures, but much more last name cultures. But there are few cultures in general. I was hoping it would have Japanese names but I was wrong. Another thing, why am I finding names that shouldn’t be in the US (which I’ve been forced to use.) nationality like “Mitzi.”. I would love if you could fix that, and then it would earn a 5-star.

Now i have to pay???
I’ve been using this app for years to get names for OCs and other characters i make. it’s been a while since i’ve used it since my character creating related hobbies got shelved for a bit. i went to use it today and it brings me to a free trial page??? i’ve been using this app for years, it has been on all of my apple devices for years, and you’re telling me i have to pay for it now?? and 30 dollars a year at that?? to generate names???? that’s garbage. i’ll go find a name generator elsewhere.

This is a scam! Do not download!
The “free” download automatically charged me the full year subscription fee and it’s the most useless app I’ve ever seen. I downloaded it just to see what it was about, and low and behold got an automatic “thank you for your yearly subscription”. The developer is called joke masters.. probably because this app is a total joke and scam. Shame on you for stealing money from people without giving the option to chose.

Great randomizer. Generally good interface. It's a bit confusing knowing the gender of the foreign names from the breadcrumb. Also when you change the parameters, it doesn't automatically create a new name which can also be confusion.

Just what I needed
Easy to use, it has genders as well for first name selection so I don't understand the previous comments maybe the app has been updated since.. Anyway no lie when it says diverse names. Great app, easy to use, large font, and it's free.

Does a great job-can’t wait for greater first name variety. I write a lot for grins, and coming up with names for the minor characters was beginning to bite. Only problem I’ve seen is a lean towards surnames that feel Czech or Polish, judging from the combinations of consonants.
