RDU 98.5 FM is Christchurch NZ’s only alternative radio station, and it has now arrived on your smartphone!
With our app you can stream the station live wherever and whenever you like!* Plus you can give any of the last 10 most recently played songs the "Thumbs Up" which saves them in your app, as well as counting as a vote int our weekly Kiwi chart show, the Te Ahi Top Ten!
The app is also your gateway to loads of great discounts and offers in Christchurch City through our loyalty scheme, RDUnited! Use the app to at participating venues in Christchurch to receive wicked deals from some of our favourite places.

RDU is celebrating 40 years of broadcasting in 2016 and from March 18 till August 14 we are hosting an exhibition at Canterbury Museum in Christchurch (NZ) to showcase the stations history. You can use the RDU app to access more content related to what’s on show*. So head down there and check it out!

- A snazzy new and super-clean look for 2015.
- iBeacon technology allows you to claim deals in participating Christchurch venues just by opening the RDU App. If your phone is equipped with Bluetooth Low Energy (Also known as Bluetooth Smart) you no longer need to scan the QR codes in venues to claim great discounts. Simply open your app (with bluetooth turned on) in any of the participating venues and the beacons take you straight to the relevant deal selection page.
- A new “deals” section which:
A - Tells you the current “Month of Rad” offer
B - Lets you know which deals are closest geographically to you
C - A new “New for you” section which works with the push notification system to keep you informed of the latest new offers.
