Real Clear Daf Hack 6.10 + Redeem Codes

I am filling out this review after speaking with R Shmuel Wise. I emailed him now due to a technical glitch regarding the app and was amazed that he called me within minutes and helped me troubleshoot the problem. We started speaking and R Wise asked me to share publicly the reflections I shared with him privately in order to help others benefit from the app as I have, which of course is the least I can do to show my gratitude for all I have received from this app.

I spent the past three years in Harvard Law School and RCD was my companion during exercise and commutes every morning. The shiurim reliably kickstarted my learning each day and helped me ensure that no matter how busy I got, I was always connecting to dvar Hashem - and to klal Yisrael. The clarity and concision of R Wise’s presentation were invaluable during this period. I gained so much from this app and am always recommending it highly to anybody who asks (and many who do not).

I have been trying to learn Talmud by myself for years with only limited success. Rabbi Wise provides a fluent translation of the text and clear explanation of the dialectic. It is fun to study with him and I look forward to it every day. My comprehension of the discourse and its background is much better since I started using Real Clear Daf. Although it is best to study with a partner and a teacher if possible, Rabbi Wise is really a “virtual”study partner and teacher. He also responded to my e-mail quickly. The daf page appears with the audio lecture so you can follow along with the text as he reads and translates. I know Hebrew but do not know Aramaic. Nevertheless, his explanation and translation are clear. I imagine that even if Hebrew is not in your skill set, you can still follow the Talmudic discussion as translated and explained by Rabbi Wise. I highly recommend this App for those interested in the Daf Yomi or Talmudic study. Bill Schecter

If you commute to work by bus or train, Real Clear Daf could turn wasted time into a real opportunity to learn and understand the Daf well. Rabbi Wise is concise, clear and focuses exclusively on the simple פשט, without getting sidetracked. In terms of the application, it’s the best I have seen, now that the exact phrase which is being explained is highlighted on the daf. This is brilliant, and in my opinion it’s a game changer. In addition, both the sound and the text are clear and of high quality, that’s definitely not so with many other applications. Rabbi Wise is always several days ahead, especially important for those who live in Israel. The level of professionalism which he has put into both the shiurim and the application is very impressive.

I was new to the Talmud last year and really wanted to start the Daf but I have a demanding job and couldn’t manage an in-person class that could work for me. I tried but wasn’t enjoying any of the online or app based classes UNTIL I was introduced to Real Clear Daf - WOW! Rabbi Wise brings extraordinarily clear explanations to the most complex subjects and makes learning the Daf a pure joy I look forward to every day. I have an Artscroll Hebrew English Talmud but without Rabbi Wise I would almost certainly have given up a while ago. His perspective and elucidation anticipates your questions as if you were there with him raising you hand. Thank HaShem for Rabbi Wise and Real Clear Daf.

I love this app. Keeping up with the daf is hard and this app has many features that really make the process easier. The recordings are clear and very easy to follow. Can easily do the daf in 30 minutes by adjusting playback speed.

Features I really like:
1) Adjustable playback speed.

2) Text highlighting during shiur playback. This is incredible for keeping track of where the recording lines up with the text inside. Very helpful for finding the place quickly. I hate to admit but I will sometimes do the daf while exercising and this feature really helps me follow along inside more easily.

3) The app offers hebrew and english versions of the text. I find reading the english version very effective for catching up when behind. I have the Artscroll and use it too but the text in this app is a lot easier to follow than the Artscroll. It is very easy to quickly review or get through a daf with a good level of comprehension by using this feature when listening and reading the hebrew inside is not practical.

This is the first time I have ever reviewed and app on the App Store. But this app is worth supporting in every way possible. First of all it’s free...which tells me that the creator cares more about a Jew being able to learn than money. Also shows the level of trust they have in Hashem. I use this app everyday at yeshivah to review the Gemara we went over in shiur. It’s is so clear and easy to understand. Thank you Rabbi wise.

I recommend every Jew to download this app and donate some sheks if possible. We should all grow in our learning and service to Hashem.

The Real Clear Daf app by Rabbi Wise has been very helpful in my study and review of the Gemara. The app is well organized, comprehensive and has improved my understanding dramatically.

It’s great for when I’m on the go, in the car, or at home to review. Going through the Daf without much side stories helps keep my mind focused on the learning at hand.

A “must download” for anyone looking for a Daf shiur. I'm in the car for about 3 hours daily (commute) and I give a shiur to Grade 12 boys a couple evenings a week. I use RCD to prepare and review before I look at the Gimoro text for the first time. I've listened to many audio daf shiurim in the past but no one comes close to the clear and concise explanation of Rabbi Wise. Additionally, the App is great as it has a picture of the Daf and the option to speed up the audio which is very helpful for reviewing a Daf.

I’m in 12th grade and have never studied Gemara before but decided to begin דף יומי with everyone else and I could not have done it without this app! I generally read the Gemara text along with the article that gives translation for the text and in this way I get to slowly develop reading and interpretation skills of the Talmud’s style.
They could not have made a better way to study Gemara by yourself :)

This Daf Yomi shiur is very clear and helps me to understand each Daf. I especially like the highlight feature that helps me follow along as we learn.
