drone turns off when we exit the app
It's a great app and there is absolutely no doubt about it. I will recommend it any day to my friends and foes ;)
But an updated version can be built so the drone is active when exiting the app or when accessing other apps. There could be an option in the settings to turn on or off this option when exiting the app.

A must-have App for all Carnatic musicians
Our family has been a regular user of this app since its first release. We have it installed on our phones and tablets, and use it for routine home practice sessions or on the go during long drives, etc. Its ease of use is remarkable, and has a great sound quality. My wife, Aparna Sunder, is a Carnatic music guru in Chicago. She has recommended this App to many of her students as she is extremely satisfied with it. It is very reasonably priced, and is definitely a worthy app to have.

High quality mobile thambura
Excellent App where time-immemorial musical culture fuses with technology seamlessly. It's user friendly and is readily useable by 'laymen' musicians, while having all the necessary features. Sound quality mimics a real thambura - if one hears from a neighboring room, you can easily mistake it for a 5' real instrument. The screen saver feature is thoughtful. I look forward to many more innovative features in the updates, and also great products from the developer.

This is a wonderful app. Unlike many of the electronic units that sound, well, electronic, this tanpura app gives a sound that is very close to the acoustic instrument.
Unlike the acoustic instrument, though, it is very easy to change sruti, introduce madhyama and nishadha. It sounds absolutely beautiful when connected to an amp. It has a lot of features for the price. I do believe that this app is a must-have for every musician, professional or amateur.
My infant son loves it too...he sleeps to it's drone!

Superb! Just what I wanted
I have been looking a tanpura/shruti box app that is the best in quality and easy for carrying with me anywhere. Tried using all other tanpura apps. Even spent more than $25 for an app. I am so happy that finally the makers of real tanpura has given me what I want In a very reasonable price. The quality and precision is appalling. It's like having a real tanpura with you all the time in your handbag or pocket.

Excellent companion!
This is an excellent app that is very well-designed, easy to use and complete in the features it offers. The reset button is a comforting feature. All in all, a very nice app. It is offered at a great price, and is a steal when compared to the significant amount one has to shell down for a standard Shruthi box. Excellent job by Haathi Software.

Why aren't all digital instruments this good?
This is a perfect Indian drone - sounds like it was recorded with the real deal, not just some electronic imitation. You can tune it to any key, and the sound quality is excellent. I wish I would have had this years ago, instead of the typical sound libraries you get with most audio programs.

Professional quality!
I am a Bharatanatyam dance teacher and use this app along with professional musicians for the live orchestra that accompanies the dance recital - the sound quality of the app is excellent, and true to the real acoustic instrument. Even sounds great when amplified to theater speaker levels. And I love how simple it is to use!

Pitch D is not in tune
The Sarini and Anusarini at pitch D is out of tune, making it impossible to sing along. The makers should have made a free trial version available so that we can check the quality of the Tanpura before doling out 5 dollars. Now, I am unable to use this app because of the imperfect tuning and worse, I can’t seem to get a refund.
I hope the app developers reply to the feedback email I sent a few days ago. I would appreciate a refund ASAP. Thank you.
