RealShaker brings one of the most intuitive musical instruments to your mobile device. Explore the dynamics and physicality of a real shaker as you move, tilt, and shake your device. Every movement of the device will generate a sound. As you practice, you can learn to control the timing, the loudness and softness, and the sharpness or smoothness of the sound. RealShaker can run in the background, allowing you to play along with your music and practice your shaker technique.
The creation of this app was driven by a love of music, sound, and physics. The idea was born while attending a Brazilian music and dance camp in the middle of the forest in California. Tested with samba at 145 bpm!
RealShaker requires iPhone 5C or better, and plays with the best responsiveness on iPhone 5S or better.

Amazing
Not sure what the other reviewer is saying, this app is truly exceptional. Unlike other similar apps that use prerecorded sounds this one is actually modeling the real physics behind the sounds. It really is super intuitive to use... absolutely amazing!!

Simple design, good sounds and acceptable latency for jamming to music or capturing a recording on the go.
Things for the next update... different shaker designs and ability to capture/export audio in app, or play music in the background and capture the isolated shaker audio.
If there was a way to open up the app as an instrument in GarageBand, that would solve a lot of issues and probably get more people on board as well.

Simple but does just what it should
This doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles but if you want something that performs just like a shaker egg then this is the thing to get.

Cool but not useful
It’s cool because it models the physics of a real shaker. However, it sounds like garbage and is therefore not practical for actual use in a music setting.
