Mischievous Mr C,
Good idea.. bad implementation
Have you guys actually used this app? Or did you just chuck it onto the App Store without even testing it?? Because that’s what it seems like for sure. I have yet to use a feature that doesn’t have bugs; if it even works at all. Did you notice the keyboard won’t minimize unless you have a particular text box in focus? Or that you have to select each film holder you create as you add them else the entire list will peace out into another dimension when you do select one? I could go on for an hour but I’m not your beta tester.. I’m unfortunately your customer. You need to take a serious look at your process.
Robert Frase,
Has changed the game for me
As all of my lenses have speeds that are NOT true to their stated times, that had cause many years of frustration in attempts to get good exposures. I had purchased a shutter speed timer, and hand written the speed averages for each, but attempting to then mentally calculate exposure reciprocity? It was a nightmare. Then I hear of “Reciprocity Timer”. Now with the App enhancement of being able to enter my own shutter speeds, I have consistently taken good exposure photos time and time again.
atstockland,
100% inaccurate
Awesome idea but is totally wrong. Being able to compound multiple filters, bellows, compensation and reciprocity is fantastic. Except the reciprocity calculations for FP4+ is totally wrong. Even simple calculations do not match up with published data. I tried to contact the developer with an example discrepancy and questions and they never responded. I won’t continue using the app because I can’t rely on it.
Jennifer B,
Must Have App for Film Shooters
This app is a must-have for those shooting film and is absolutely mandatory for those shooting large format. The new update added a massive number of film stocks, but it does so much more than just calculate reciprocity failure. You can select filters so the your filter factor is automatically calculated. You can add exposure compensation. For those shooting large format, it calculates your bellows extension compensation for close up work. I am very happy with this app.
BillPutnamPhoto,
Was good, not so much now
Keeps crashing or deleting custom settings. Tried contacting developer and got no response. UPDATE: app is working great now after a conversation with the developer. Sent him screen recordings and data to help him figure it out. App update was done in a few hours, approved by Apple and downloaded to my phone a couple hours later. It’s already helped me. Cheers.
Doc Gmed,
Finally
I've been waiting for a while for an app that combines the few features I look for such as reciprocity failure, filters, more importantly, the stacking of filters(which was difficult to find out) and bellows compensation. If it here was a way to add other reciprocity data, that would be great.

Best App For Large Format Photography
This is a one of a kind app that is invaluable for my large forms film photography. It is MUCH more then just a reciprocity timer, in fact I think the name should be changed sense it has evolves to so much more.

This app is a total exposure calculator and note taker for film photography.

The developer is friendly and listens and implements the feedback he gets into the app.

The zone system annotations are a great addition to the already great exposure note abilities.
Dcohio,
Handy
Very useful and handy. Everyones times will very slightly based on developer dillutions and so on but this is a very nice app and gets me where I need to be without making me think like too hard.
anti-climax,
Notes needs a little work
The notes function (pro version) is pretty clunky. Can't add categories on the fly, and apparently can't move notes between categories. If not for that, it's 5 star.
DBM4891,
Great app, handy for 4x5 shooters
Not enough credit is given for this app. This app is incredibly handy for calculating bellows compensation and reciprocity. Yes, this app could use more films in the database, but as a 4x5 shooter, all of the emulsions I need are listed.
