Solid content but buggy app
Rekhta has rendered invaluable contribution to the hindustan culture and the content is beyond pale. Most people use the site through their mobile device yet the mobile app and the interface is poorly designed, buggy and difficult to use. It is time for Rekhta to focus some of their resources on rebuilding the app to enhance both user experience and grow their audience. It has huge potential that remains unexplored.

IOS version is very buggy
It’s a very buggy app. Does not work, most of the time. Frequently see “JSON connection error”. Screens do not load on clicking on the links.
The app makes it challenging for the readers to access trove of treasure which the content team has provided.
I revert back to web most of the time.

Great Idea but Impossible to Urdu
I love Rekhta because it allows me to practice reading Urdu with beautiful poetry. I have been using the desktop browser website for a while and when I discovered there was an app I was estates, however I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max and it does not allow me to change my language to Urdu. It is fun to read in English, but I am not getting out of this app what I intended. It is great if you are trying to read transliterated ghazal or poetry, however if you are trying to read in Urdu or Hindi, this is currently a bust. I hope that this issue is fixed soon.

Excellent source for finding Urdu poetry
Vast collection and words with searchable definitions in Hindi, Urdu and English make this app highly useful for native speakers and for learners of Urdu/Hindi. My only recommendations are: the five ashaar of the day often repeat (it would be nice to have more variety) and the font size on some pages is very small and unable to be changed.

Rekhta is like a treasure chest that is full of precious gems. I love this website and recommend to the people who love shayari. I have written to you in the past but I haven’t received any response. That is my only disappointment. I write daily and I would like to submit my work.

Dashed all my hopes
I was so excited to find that Rekhta has an app. I couldn’t wait to expand my horizons in Urdu language and literature. It has the material, the goods, etc. It’s the tech part that I have an issue with. The meaning of the word of the day is in white!! Totally unreadable! It’s the same with trying to sign up/ register. There are 3 rows and the stuff they want is in white. Can’t make out. Went to the website and figured what was expected. Tried blindly again, just wouldn’t let me register. Why?? Please fix asap. I can’t wait to start my journey of discovery. Helppp

Great app, buggy recitation
The recitation feature doesn’t work in app which is a bummer. It works well on mobile web (safari and chrome). In spite of this, has a wealth of Urdu shayari that can’t be accessed so easily elsewhere. Really grateful that they have this.

Beat Urdu Poetry App
User Friendly and the best urdu poetry app
I have ever seen,
But there is alot of bugs and error like connection interrupts alot times, zoom buttona added in ghazal section is worse please remove that button.
Famous poets like shakeeb jalali and john elia etc ghazals are missing please add them.

Good Content, Poor App
I use the App on my iPhone Xs. After the last update, the font size has reduced and it’s difficult to read. In addition, some of the gazals and pages doesn’t open, just a blank page. My native language is Urdu and I want to improve it and Rekhta is a great platform to learn. I would request to put some effort on the technical side. Thanks!
