Description
Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Ivano-Frankivsk region
The application "Rescue in the mountains" is intended for registration of tourist trips and notification of mountain search and rescue units of the SES of Ukraine about the threat to life or health.
Use only in case of danger to life. A false calls leads to administrative liability.
You can report the incident to the SES by calling or sending a message. The SMS or Internet messages sent by the application include the coordinates of your location. Try sending a message first. In this way you will speed up the organization and conduct of search and rescue operations.
Note: The application does not perform background actions. Dimming the smartphone screen or minimizing the application window stops determining coordinates and waiting for a response from the server. When determining the coordinates, the smartphone consumes a significant amount of current, so the application avoids uncontrolled actions that affect the residual battery charge.
Do not minimize the application windows when determining coordinates. If the smartphone screen turns off before the coordinates are determined - unlock it. Coordinate determination will resume. If it is impossible to determine the coordinates or send a message, evaluate the situation and determine the place with more favorable conditions. Get it and try again. Optimal conditions for the passage of the radio signal are achieved in the open.
The application sends messages once. In case of accidental failures due to the absence or weak signal level of the cellular network, repeated attempts are not performed. If you are using an SMS application that supports the retransmission function, select "Settings" option "default application" in the "Send SMS" menu.
Travel registration allows you to get initial information about missing persons and narrow the area of search and rescue operations.
To communicate with the SES, the application uses a separate phone number. Sending SMS messages is available only to registered users. In other cases, call 112 (free of charge in Ukraine).
