Good review

I used this for both the OS X Mountain Lion desktop and server tests and passed both. There were a few concerns I had on the desktop test and the author was very responsive. The desktop version is good and helped the server version is fair. Lots of questions on the server version not covered here so do not depend on this as your whole guide.

While not related to this app but relevant to those wanting to pass the server exam the official study guide is 1/2 the size and the exercises are not as detailed. So to pass you need to supplement your training.

Great Companion App

This app is a great study tool. If you paid attention during the course and study with this app, you will be in good shape. Both my friend and I used this app as our sole study tool and passed the exam. We actually found the practice exam on here more difficult than the actual exam.

Would not recommend

The app is ok. My complaint is that when you Mark a question for review, there isn’t any place to review the question! What is the purpose of marking it for review then? There should be an answer explanation. For $10 US dollars, I wish I could get a refund.

I’ve also found several grammatical errors.

I do not recommend purchasing this app unless developer can update the content of the exams to the latest from apple!!

Great App

I just passed my 10.7 essentials exam and with great help from this app. I'm not sure what others are crying about, but all I can say is that with reading the book and reviewing the questions with the combination of using this App it helped me a lot. Like it states in the explanation these aren't the questions word for word, but they are similar and still have the same answer. Keep in mind that the real exam pulls from such a large pool of questions that you are only getting a small percentage of those questions in this app, but it still really helps. A must have if you are taking the exam, good luck!!!

Not Bad, but Not Great

This app is OK. Do not use it as your only means of studying. If you do then don't expect to pass. You have to read the book and have some experience with OS X as well. This app helps get your feet wet with the OS if you don't already have a lot of experience with OS X. It also touches at a high level a lot (not all) of the subjects you'll be tested on, and gives you practice with an exam simulation. Beware though, the questions asked in the simulation are not even close to what is asked on the actual exam and go into much more depth into each subject. Overall this is an OK app to start off your studying with. Just don't expect to pass the test if this is all you use. YOU HAVE TO READ THE BOOK!!

Nice way to see where you are weak

The questions in this app are definitely not the ones in the real test, but that is not the point – the app is designed to help test your general knowledge of the subject. I found it was very helpful to see where I was weak and which aspects of the operating system I should spend more time studying.

Very Good Review App

Would definitely recommend this to people looking to take the Apple Certified Support Professional exam.

One thing I wish this app would have is the ability to view any wrong & right answers & an explanation as to why the answer was right.

Overall, a wonderful app to use for studying.
