Discovered this as we walked out to get a taxi for dinner. It was such a beautiful day, we thiught why not Try.
Easy APP download, easy to scan and in notime we went off on the bikes.
A quick challenge when we arrived at our destination as the only parking was back where we started ( no parking in the area around us).
The option to request an appeal for parking was offered. We submitted an appeal and was granted parking… YEA!! Loved it.. I am 65yrs young and loved the ease of you. I did get charged for the Appeal to park in “NO PARKING”, but a very minimal charge considering the fun adventure!
I used Google maps to navigate the streets. In english! It was a great Adventure!

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE
My wife and I used RideMovi to rent two bikes on two separate cards for a couple hours on a trip to Florence, Italy in October of 2021 and attempted to decline a subscription and thought we were successful in doing so. RideMovi then started to charge me for several months before I realized what was going on. I reached out to RideMovi about it but received no answer. I then contacted the credit card company to report it and they cancelled my card and sent me a new one. One year later RideMovi started charging both my card and my wife’s card again even though we haven’t used their service or even been back to Italy in that time. I’m now relegated to calling my credit card company again, reporting fraud and requesting another new card.

Service: Very limited area where you can park the bike. And even within the area, you can park only in designated areas. When one rides outside the circle, you can’t even lock the bike. So, if you need to stop and get water at a store, you have to leave it unlocked… or not to stop. Convenient and safer for the vendor, but not for the customer. For 1h20m, 16km, it’s about 22 Euros. You can’t rent a regular bicycle in Ostia.

Beach bike ride was great!
Easy app to use, the only thing that prevented us from being able to use it initially when we signed up was not having our passports on us. $16 for 1 hour seems a bit expensive but overall a great experience.

Fast & plentiful, but a few hiccups
I didn’t see a way to add a second(group) bike, so my wife had to also download the app while I waited. Then she had to try two bikes before the third one worked (one of the two broken bikes charged her anyway). Then the bikes had headlights but not functioning tailights at night. On the good side, they were more Avaioabie and they went faster than the competition!

Does not work well. Expensive
App and bikes are ridden with errors. They keep canceling recurring plans without notice. They show inexistent and broken bikes as available, even weeks after reporting. They kept charging for the non-electric recurring plan even though they were in practice discontinued in Madrid (zero bikes, let alone working ones, in entire neighborhoods). When bikes work, prices are very expensive, and monthly minutes plan are only marginally cheaper. They charge a “non compliant parking” fee when they shouldn’t, then you have to go through hoops to get it returned

Constant app crashes + damaged bikes
I’ve been using this service for months. There is always a problem. The app crashes 50% of the time, e-bikes and regular bikes have issues 80% of the time (brakes, seat, engine, noise, etc). They also increased their prices by 25% on ebikes (from 1€ to 1.25€). Does not sound like a lot but at the end of the month it is quite expensive.
Would I recommend? Yes when you visit a place but NO as a regular customer.

TOOK TEN MINUTES TO LOCK!
I had to pay 6€ for a ten minute ride and then the app took 3 efforts to lock and configure an end to my ride! That was so stressful. I had to enter a coffee shop to wait for WiFi and it took 10 minutes to activate the app to lock successfully.

Beware of autorenew default
The bikes worked great.
Some difficulty with re-logging in when moving to a different cities -Related to having to re-verify your phone number.
Big problem is the fact that there’s a subscription auto renewal that is defaulted to ON and it doesn’t show or alert you- until you go four layers into the app.
I find this very deceptive and dishonest.

Don’t use, don’t trust
This is easily the worst group to use. Don’t trust them with your card information. They sign you up for a subscription without your approval, not anywhere was this mentioned. Then they keep charging even after you cancel. You can’t change or remove your card information. Service refuses to respond. Save yourself the bother and just walk or use anyone else. I promise they can’t be worse
