Rime - room escape game - Hack 1.8.10 + Redeem Codes

I enjoyed it. At first, your only in a one room/ partial top floor, and not much in this place. I thought it was going to be boring and lose interest. But it’s the little things you either don’t see at first or blends in, because of patterns of faded dull colors(if that makes an sense). Having hints in what ever presented way to helping you get to the next step without playing for them. In this one, they take you to a separate page that shows you step by step on the puzzle. And depending on the puzzle story and the flow of it really depends if you need hints or not. And in my case when all else fails, thank goodness for hints. This was got frustrating, you really have to look all over in a four square room. It was like you were the one actually stuck in that confined place with trying to find a way out, and going crazy. I’m was hoping for a 2nd edition to this.

I enjoyed the game. However I figured one of the things out, I guess, sooner than the game was programmed to allow me to resolve that part. Because the game wouldn’t let me solve it when I figured it out, when I got to the part where I was actually supposed to do the task, I was stumped. I didn’t try to do it again after it didn’t work the first time and had to ask for a clue...without giving it away to new users, I am referring to the string. I figured out how to retrieve the string but I did not have the other required component for that piece yet so the game would not let me retrieve the string. When I had the second piece, I didn’t think to try again to retrieve the string, so I had to use a clue, which was frustrating to me to find out I had to do exactly what I tried to do much earlier but failed. No worries. Still enjoyed the game.

Played a LOT of these sort of flash style room escape(static picture w/interactive spots) and this one is definitely awesome. Puzzles are a good balance of difficulty, and also there are hidden endings which sadly most games like this just never have. I appreciate the fact that the devs took time to put in that little something extra even on game anyone can play completey free of charge(w/minimal ads to boot!) If I had a complaint it would be the “item” selection bar is somewhat obscured by a floating add banner, but this is a trivial thing since you can double click any item and view an enlarged photo of it to see what it is at any time, a very minor complaint(not even enough to detract a whole star) for an overall enjoyable, great game!

This was one of the better games in the escape genre. Please do a sequel! I found a few minor bugs: 1) the donation link is disabled which is strange; 2) the ads at the bottom of the play window partially obscure the Item button (I would have paid to remove this it is very distracting); 3) after taking a hint, watching an ad and returning to the game, the sound stops working. I can fix by going to the Home Screen and then back to the game. I have this weird problem on some other games too so it might be my IPad…

I’m a veteran escape game player, and am bored with the same old cookie cutter games that don’t require thinking - just finding stuff and putting it in other stuff. This one makes you think outside the box and really problem solve. It’s tricky and I had to use the hints more than I’d like to admit, but I appreciate the progressive hints that don’t just give you the answer right away. Sometimes it was for stuff that I should have been able to figure out on my own, and others that just plain had me stumped.

The game is overall very well done. The puzzles are challenging and make you think. While some will be obvious others will really challenge you.

The game strikes a good balance as well with the hint system. Need a hint? Watch an ad. Still not enough? Ask for the answer. This system seemed extremely fair given the game is free. If I’m not paying for the game this is an excellent way to handle creating value for the developer.

One complaint is although the graphics are good they try and obfuscate things by blending them into the background too much.

I was initially disappointed with the 2D look and movement, but as I progressed I came to accept it and you can maneuver very quickly. The game just doesn’t have that visual ‘pop’ that some others do (e.g., House of DaVinci). The puzzles were clever. Sometimes more so than I could figure out. I usually kicked myself though after seeking a clue, although there were two where I am not sure if I would have figured out. Overall an interesting and challenging puzzle game. I would play others created by this group.

I really enjoyed this one. The puzzles have logical consistency to them rather than those stupid brain game type puzzles a lot of these games use.

I did use hints because I’m impatient, but every single time I’d slap myself for not realizing the solution- it was never something weird or that didn’t make sense, I just didn’t think long enough or forgot something the game had already shown me earlier (like inspecting every item you pick up).

Some items get used multiple times in different ways, which I found clever. The elevator and ladder combo is especially fun and unique.

Not a long game, not super hard, not the most graphically advanced game (though it does have some animations which places it above the majority of these games in the App Store).

Worth your time if you enjoy escape room games.

I put this game up the with The Room and House of Davinci series’. I play a lot of escape games and this is by far one of the more challenging. I usually fly through games like these without much trouble but this one had me thinking quite a bit and when I would figure it out I would almost feel silly. All puzzle are intuitive and make sense (ex. Games that make you do something silly like using scissors on a wall).

I’m not the best at these games but I do enjoy them. I love the fact that the hints aren’t locked behind a paywall. Just watch a video and you can get the hint or answer if you’re still having trouble. I also like how there are a couple different ways to finish the level and if you don’t get it all the way right you can either start completely over, or just before you made the final decision. I will be looking for more games from the creator
