Description

RoboKind Companion is the app to support the connectivity of the RoboKind program. The program is for autistic students to teach social, emotional, and behavioral skills through the RoboKind CASE-endorsed curriculum. The program contains 140+ robot-lead lessons covering a variety of skills including self-regulation, social communication, emotional recognition, and situational practice. Lessons are designed to help neurodiverse individuals and students with social deficits to learn, practice, generalize, and use these skills using embedded assessment, flash cards, video models, 200+ structured and naturalistic practice activities, and teacher lesson plans. Lessons and activities can be facilitated with students individually, in a group setting, and remotely using the virtual avatar. The lesson experience can be tailored to student needs by assigning pre-defined IEP goals to students. RoboKind recommends relevant lessons and activities based on the assigned goals. Lessons now include speed preferences, mood tracking, and enhanced note-taking for tracking student mastery.

The RoboKind curriculum is endorsed by CASE (Council of Administrators of Special Education) and has been validated by several independent research institutions as evidence-based. It’s efficacy has been validated through statewide longitudinal studies in partnership with the state of South Carolina Department of Education, and has been used in thousands of classrooms in districts across the nation and internationally.

For information about RoboKind please visit www.robokind.com.

RoboKind Companion requires a RoboKind subscription, two iPads (5th generation or later), and a RoboKind R25 Robot and/or Avatar license. With RoboKind Web Companion, an iPad can be substituted using a computer and Chrome or Edge web browsers.
