Rock Seeker identifies the rock in your camera shot or photo with the utmost accuracy. Our app has a comprehensive, easy to browse interface that helps you study the rock, understand its physical and chemical properties too. It’s also possible to add the rock to your rock collection.
You can see possible location of every rock you found or just browsing with convenient map showing deposits nearby.

RockSeeker offers the following auto-renewing subscriptions to provide you with unlimited access to identification and database within RockSeeker Platinum while you maintain an active subscription: Weekly with a 3-day trial at $4.99; Weekly at $4.99; Monthly with a 3-day trial at 9.99; Monthly at $9.99; Yearly with 3-day trial at 29.99, Yearly at $29.99. For other currencies, the price corresponds to the same price tier on the App Store Pricing Matrix.
Payment will be charged to the credit card connected to your iTunes Account when you confirm the initial subscription purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current subscription period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and the cost of the renewal will be identified. You may manage your subscription and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to your Account Settings after the purchase. Rock seeking
I have been crazy about finding rocks since I was a little kid on our vacations camping trips I would sneak them in to the car and hide them somewhere so I could take them home I have learned a lot from this app and I will be going by every thing that you said about the rocks and stuff thank you for sharing it with us

Very poor app
The only thing that is identified by this app is how very bad it is. The worst part is they will charge you $5.99 a week just to tell you the wrong information about any stone you have. Like many others who gave a one star review, I had stones already identified by an actual geologist. I tried the app because my kids love rocks, but it could not even correctly identify a single one. My 7 year old got more right than the app did. Do not waste your time or money on this scam. For anyone looking on how to end your subscription to this incredibly pathetic app, go to your settings and click your profile. You should see your subscriptions and then just click to cancel it.

App does not allow you to push any buttons
I was really excited to try this app, however it has always been stuck on the take a picture button and won’t let me take a picture or select anything else on the screen. I can’t get into settings or submit a ticket for help, and it’s $5 a week. Would have loved to try to work with them to get the bug fixed, but I cannot even do that within the app, it will not allow me to do anything at all, it is just frozen.

I downloaded this app for its free trial. I’ve used it for a few days and this app knows nothing about rocks and minerals. It asks you to put in what you say it is it’s ridiculous and a waste of money and time I can do it faster looking through a real book then using this app. it’s like they expect you to put the information in for them.

This app can’t ID common stones.
I have tried 2 common stones. Both ID’s were wrong. I have tried several other apps. Same thing. I don’t like it asking me to input what I know it is because if I’m paying for an app to identify them the app should identify them. Correctly. Google lens is more accurate than any of the apps I have tried and its free.

Can’t correctly identify stones
I attempted once with Lapis Lazuli and once with Tiger’s Eye. It suggested the most opposite-looking minerals, it was so sad. Gold and silver were the only suggestions for the Tiger’s Eye. Canceled my free trial and deleted the app. Not worth it. Who in their right mind would charge for this app?! Especially $5.99/wk…comes out to $24/mo!

This is the worst crystal/gem/rock app. As a collector who knows the stones; I’ve gotten little to no right answers identifying them. Awful. I’ve also tried canceling my subscription multiple times and I am being charged still. Would not recommend.

It scares me that an app that is so wildly wrong can have 4.5 stars. The app suggests stones that don’t even remotely resemble the rock in question. At first I though it had to me something I was doing wrong when taking the photo, but when I came back to read reviews-it’s apparent this is garbage.

Does not work
I tried this app and took a few photos of some basic easily recognizable rocks like granite, quartz, and just a plain old rock. Each of these things came up as some sort of crystal. Absolutely ridiculous. Don’t waste your time.
