Kid approved JTJ,
Awesome game!!
This game is fantastic!!! Today was my first time sitting with my four yr old as he played. This educational game actually kept his attention. He knows his alphabet already, but this is great reinforcement (he gets his b, d and n,h mixed up) this game may help with his recognition. Definitely can't complain...he actually asked to play again after he completed the first level. Compared to other educational games on the iPad this is the first time he's EVER asked to play again! Great app!
Primefish,
My kid seems to like it
Nice graphics. Not too annoying sounds. Keeps my hellions occupied.
CAN Reddy,
Worst app
Is this really worth a $. It hardly has few words and it keeps repeating the same words. Literally not at all a worth a penny.

Love this game!!!!
Reading Buddies,
Outstanding
This is my students favorite app by a country mile. They beg to play all the time. I love the different levels of difficulty and how easy it is to change options. I love the built in reward system which is very short but highly motivating. Kids choose a rocket part after 3 correct words and get to watch the blast off after 12 words. It keeps kids coming back for more learning. It is funny to be in my classroom when a child announces "come and watch my blastoff" and everyone gathers around and counts down!
I only wish there was a phonics option. My kids are solid with letter names and need to learn the sounds. I would gladly pay for an upgrade that included phonics and individual logins.
deafed10,
Sped teacher approved!
I teach language delayed students one on one (all ages). I stumbled upon this app and wow! I was surprised how much my kids loved it! My three yr old loves matching the letters to spell ( first audible word was star!) my elementary kiddos don't realize they are reading and spelling but request this game by name! Even my low high schoolers enjoy this though not as enthusiastically as my younger kiddos. My only " complaint" is I would love to have word lists so their vocab words could be practiced also but I won't vote it down any! This app makes my life a lot easier! Thank you so much!!! If you can get Zip to make sentence writing or math skills this much fun my kids ( and i) would love it!!!!

Sincerely,
A special Ed teacher
Homeschooling mom of 2 boys,
Great game!!
My 4 year old and 7 year old both enjoy this game. Level 1 is perfect for my 4 year old and my 7 year old is challenged but has fun on level 4. The graphics are great, and both boys love the little alien's voice, especially when he says "whee!" and jumps into the rocket at the end. It has just enough "extras" (building a rocket, collecting stars in space) to make it fun without taking away from the point (spelling and letter recognition).
Feliz HodgePodge,
Great concept
We have many phonics games, but this game keeps even my three year old engaged. I love that she is not only learning letter names (and sounds via the phonics games) but also proper ordering of letters and reading left to right. I also have a four and six year old, but oddly it is my three year old who enjoys this game the most. I would love to see more games by this company as this one is very well put together.
NKma,
Cute game
Fun game for my kid. The alien and rocket pieces are very cute. The game would be even better if there were a level or option that did not have the letter clues below. In other words, it would be great if the kids could just type in the correct spelling, rather than choosing from an existing list (like Speak & Spell, from the 80's). Otherwise the game gets too easy too quickly.
Yisteroo,
Way fun!
This spelling game has been a hit with my first grader. He has played this game for hours and doesn't seem to get tired of it. Creating your own rocket and trying to catch stars is an added bonus to practicing spelling. I played it to see how to and to see if it is a game I want my fourth grade students to play. It was enjoyable for me, too! Can't wait to use it at school.
