I am listening now to THe Gals, which covers women in rock in the 50s and 60s. Cherry Divine is the DJ. So much stuff I never heard. It is amazing. These DJs are curators, librarians, guardians of our musical history. They might not realize it, but they are preserving our sound, and bringing attention to many brilliant artists who have been ignored or forgotten. We are being introduced to Rock and Roll from other countries as well, like from Australia, Mexico, Sweden, Germany, the UK, France…Rock will never die.
