Description
The application is designed for doctors and medical students that helps to calculate ROX. ROX is an index that is formulated to predict the chance of success or failure of HFNC. It has been studied mostly in patients with Pneumonia. It is calculated as –
Oxygen saturation (SpO2) / Fraction of Inspired Oxygen (FiO2) X Respiratory rate (RR)
(Range for SpO2 : 70% – 100%,
Range for FiO2 : 21% – 100%,
Range for RR : 12/min – 70/min)
As is obvious, the higher the index, the better is the chance of success.
