There is GPS screen on this application helps the user (player) to know about his current status ( how far he is from their current location to the front, middle and back of a green).
The second thing that the GPS is transmitting the players current location at some reasonable interval to the dashboard. The Royal Oaks facilitates to know the current weather condition and it helps the member quickly order food online.
Once the application is launched, the application starts asking the user's current location. If user's current location is found inside the golf course area, the user's location will update the admin section within a specific time interval, from where admin can keep track continuously the players movement inside the course area. The admin section will be updated with the user's location even if the user is not using the application in foreground, the application is in background. This feature requires the persistent use of real time location updates in order to update the admin section continuously, while the app is in background.
The Golf Shop staff has the ability to track members pace of play through a web interface. The Golf shop at Royal Oaks will update whole user details like where player is standing, what hole number user is targeting how much distance is covered ,how much is there remaining and how much time user may take to finish the course .so admin can alert the user like the player is ahead or behind the piece of play.
Since the Royal Oaks app uses special background service for it's intended purposes, such as: location, local notifications, etc. For this, the Royal oaks app would need to run the GPS in the user's device and Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
