Description

RPG Sounds is a friendly audio app for Dungeon Masters.
Users can easily set the mood of the session by adjusting Music, Soundscapes,, and triggering Sound Effects to greatly enhance their great game sessions.
RPG Sounds boosts your immersion and grants the best auditive tabletop experience.

RPG Sounds is a tool, not a service. It lets you import and store in a single place all your favorite songs, ambient sounds, and sound effects. It supports most of the mainstream types of audio files.

You will never lose track of your sounds, it does a great job sorting and categorizing them by libraries and game sessions. That way, you will always know where your sounds are exactly when you need them.

Prepare for a game session in advance. Pulling only the sounds you need from your library into your session will let you focus on actually running the campaign while letting RPG Sounds do its job.

Forgot a track or sound effect? Don't worry, you can still add more tracks on the fly to your session without the current ambient sounds and musing stopping.

With the SFX Pad, you will be in control of your sound effects at all times. This feature greatly enhances combat in your sessions. Being able to trigger any sound on the fly is super easy and fun to do.

-Local import for Sounds and Music. That's right, bring your own music too, if you want.

ZNORMAN23,
So far so good
Pros
- This app is fantastic for sound effects, background noise and music. I can spend a minimal amount of time (maybe 15-20 minutes) building a very nice soundtrack based on a basic area my PC’s will encounter during a session. 5/5
- Inexpensive yet very robust sound packs 5/5

Cons
- no ability to play in the background, cast or split-screen 2/5
- no way to see or sample the sound pack before purchase 1/5

Still a very useful tool to kick your game immersion up to the next level!
C0ntesauce,
Next level gaming
UPDATE 2: I found a workaround to the split screen/background audio issue. If your device supports stage manager, you can have your PDF books open in the same window as this app and audio will not cut out. Win!
UPDATE: I found two major downfalls of this app on iOS. It doesn’t split screen and doesn’t run audio in the background so I can’t run this split screen with any rule or campaign book while I’m playing. I recently started playing TTRPG’s with my family and my friends and GM/DMing. I started making most of the sound effects by mouth, or beating on the table whatever the story called for. I thought about using a sound board to have premade sounds so I went hunting. There are quite a few apps sprinkled between Android, iOS, and Windows. I tried them all, and this one so far is my favorite. I grabbed it on steam, but my laptop is honestly just too unwieldy to bring to a table game, so I’m running it from my iPad. I’ve set up a few encounters on here and love that I can make presets and import my own music and SFX. My only real complaint with this app is that some of the buttons are pretty small for the UI, and the scroll bars are difficult to grab with my fat finger some times, but not that big of a deal if I use my apple pencil. UI shortcomings aside, I highly recommend this app to any DM who’s looking to add a little more ambiance to their gaming experience. Great job to the devs and pretty stoked they put development time into the mobile market.
