Really disappointed. What do you expect from a 2 star rated app?
It connected. I can see the camera. No problem. But, what makes me mad, is that you cannot skim through the footage, and the download takes forever. And it keeps stopping at 74%. I have to do external recordings just to retrieve my file. Very disappointed. If the recording saves easier, that would be great. Even better if I can skim through the footage. Fix this and your app would be better’ Neglet comments like these and others and you will stay below 3 stars. Smh

Amazing App! Need to add......
It is very easy to use. No brainer! QR scan is a great idea I would like to add callsign/pilot name with option of turn on/off to show on screen in Runcam 5 camera for who wants to use Runcam 5 only for FPV since FCC required a callsign display on screen in FPV cam. People will like it if add in Runcam app to QR scan to put callsign in Runcam 5 cam. Simple and quick! If Runcam adds in app then lot of people will be surprised and glad to use Runcam 5 as FPV and recording in same time. Thanks!

The app isn’t worth it and neither is the camera
I’m don’t k ow if it’s a bug or my camera but when I connect (and yes I’m fallowing the direction to the letter) the app doesn’t not let me see what the camera is looking at the only why to tell is to recored and look back I have the scope cam 2 basic but it’s still 141 dollars and a hold work fine if someone know who to fix the problem please let me know otherwise I’ll be returning this product and never buy a product for this company again I urge anyone who is think about buying to reconsider and choose something else

Why?????
Why do you have an app for an iPhone out there that will not connect to your product????? No matter what I do, the camera will not connect to this app. The app is very polished looking but looking good and not doing its job is simply useless. Again, why????
Update: I finally figured out the process to connect this to my iPhone.
Step 1. Turn on camera and short press WiFi button
Step 2. Go to WiFi networks on the iPhone and select the RunCam network. Enter passcode.
Step 3. Start RunCam App and select the camera you are trying to link to.
Step 4. Select link to camera. Should connect to camera and work
Instructions need to be updated by RunCam.

Crapy app
Trying to use this for the Runcam 4 airsoft edition, and it doesn’t connect. Since this the only app that is out there for runcam I would thing one could connect any camera to it, turns out the 4 as edition isn’t supported by this app. So those of us who only have apple are screwed and can’t adjust any settings. I have an older Samsung tablet that the camera will connect to but the app freezes every two seconds so it’s pretty much useless also. I’m not even sure the camera works at this point. Wait a fail.

Not sure what’s with the negative reviews. App works for what’s expected. Needs some optimization in some areas, but overall it gets the job done.

Neglected app
This app feels like a neglected part of the design process. The cameras all seem built well but because they don’t have screens we need the app to be flawless. I spent so much time optimizing the rigs I have and it’s just not worth the effort. I can’t even get a preview on my RunCam lite despite the camera being able to record videos no problem manually.

Very unstable Product
I tried using this app with the scope cam plus but the app and the camera crash way too much to be usable. Unfortunate but best to avoid.
