Description

This is the most feature packed Sabbath School quarterly on the market. Use it to enhance your lesson study. This is the app for true lesson study. It is the only Sabbath School app with these exciting and useful features:

• You can highlight portions of text, so they pop out in Sabbath School.
• You can write notes just like in the paper copy.
• Notes and highlights can sync between your devices.
• Bible references are turned into weblinks for quick viewing.
• The teachers edition for the week can be viewed with a simple click.

Sabbath School Quarterly app allows you to take your Seventh-Day Adventist Biblical studies wherever you bring your phone. Most Seventh-Day Adventist churches teach on the same topic or reading in a given week, as each quarter of the year has a different theme that reflects Bible, doctrinal, or church lifestyle teachings. Thus the lesson booklet is called quarterly.
This app provides you with all of the Sabbath School quarterlies for the current and previous three quarters. It lets you take notes, and it remembers the notes for later when you are taking part in the discussion during Sabbath school. The app allows you to hone in on the specific week and day of study and enables you to move from one day to another with a tap or swipe of your finger.

The SDA Sabbath School Quarterly App is an independent ministry that supports the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist® Church; however, it is not part of, affiliated with, or supported by the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists® headquartered in Silver Spring, Maryland or any of its affiliates known as the Seventh-day Adventist ® Church. Thus, any content or opinions expressed, implied or included beyond that included in the Seventh-day Adventist Quarterly are solely those of the creators or owners of the SDA Sabbath School Quarterly App and not those of the General Conference or the Seventh-day Adventist® Church.

Erban,
Fantastic App
This is a fantastic app and my rating is 5 stars with a caveat…the audio reader worked until last Friday’s lesson but no longer works for lessons commencing August 28th and moving forward. Audio still works on last weeks and previous lessons but not on any lessons from August 28th and after. I’ve spent an hour or so trying to determine if it’s a glitch or a setting I can correct. I have to say it must be a software glitch since I couldn’t find anything/settings that came close to addressing the issue. Hope it can be corrected soon. It’s a phenomenal app and I’ll miss the audio feature if it’s not addressed post haste! Thanks in advance for your attention in this matter!
DrBob1844,
Great App but better with some improvements
I’ve been using this app for my daily study for some years and find it adequate. Unlike the standard SS app, which limits the places for adding notes and highlights as well as highlight colors, this app has multiple colors for highlights and notes are allowed after every paragraph. Add to that the Bible text links (that actually work) and the teachers commentary, we have a really nice app. The only issue I have with it is the formatting. The teachers commentary really needs work in this area, as paragraphs and titles run together and sometimes appear haphazardly in the middle of a sentence. It looks like it was cut and pasted from one program and copied into another processor that was not quite compatible. This results in some confusion to the reader and needs to be addressed before I could consider giving this app a five. All told, however, for study of the adult SS lesson, this is the best app available at this time.

I love that your mobile app offers the ADD A NOTE feature which makes my personal bible study a whole lot more exciting, but does not offer the Easy Reader version. Would it be possible to add that feature to this app? I teach Junior SS, and my study habits have trained my mind to study all my lessons that way, by adding my own notes; little bits of wisdom from the Holy Spirit. And maybe a way to store those lessons for future reference? As I mentioned before, I teach Junior SS, and will often incorporate points from adult lessons into the Junior lessons (PowerPoints). I think that would push your already amazing app over the top.

Sincerely,
Elvia Castañeda

Plain App
This app is accurate and does the basic things (links to bible verses , copy and paste, highlight and share). For me all these things are necessary to make it fully functional. Importantly all these features work well.
Making bible gateway the default for the Bible verses link works best for me, as I am able to highlight copy and paste several bible verses at the same time. This is not the case if the link is to the internal bible verses; if the internal bible verses were selected as the default you can only highlight copy paste one text at a time. So if you needed to copy and paste 13 verses then you would need to do this 13 times.
It would be more appealing if there was more color and font variation. The title could be bold and in title case letters and the questions could be bold and red or purple fonts
4XTexan,
Used for years
This app has allowed me to prepare my lesson for class by inserting notes, highlighting and linking to the Bible to copy & paste texts into the lesson. However, today, when I attempt to copy and paste, it acts like it’s going into “look up” mode, but doesn’t do anything. I rebooted my iPad, deleted the app and reinstalled a couple of times and it continues to happen. It works correctly on my iPhone, but that is too small to use to prepare a lesson. Please fix this!!
The Teaman,
Best SS Quarterly App
I have used and tried some of the other Sabbath school quarterly apps that are available for iOS but they had issues, primarily performance issues. This one is very well done, aesthetically pleasing and beautiful.

I do have some suggestions for improving it.
* As others have stated the night mode color scheme needs some tweaks but otherwise this is an excellent app.
* I do wish they would add more modern translations of the Bible that you can choose to link to the referenced passages. WEB version is good but NLT, NIV, or CEV would be terrific!
* There needs to be a way to send feedback to report issues and suggestions for improvement. Currently I find no way to do that other than here in a review, which is not the proper place.

The performance of this app is excellent as is the intuitive nature of the UI. If you're looking for an app for Sabbath School lesson study, this is the one! And don't forget to support him with some dollars when you can.
SSTKuti,
Audio lesson as a blessing
“How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!””
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:14-15‬ ‭ESV‬‬

I have difficulty reading on computer screen for an extended period of time. The audio lessons are very helpful to me as I am called to teach sabbath school time to time.
LenSD,
Convenient and has the right options!
I have this app on my phone. It’s very convenient for occasions when I have some spare time and I don’t have the quarterly with me. I like the options of being able to add notes and highlight portions that I want to stand out. This is especially helpful because I often teach the Adult Sabbath School class. I can add thoughts on the go quickly and easily. It’s a simple app with just the right options for my needs...and yours, too!
Shirley Shobe,
SS Review
I am happy that I can always have the SS lesson with me as long as I have my phone with me.

I want to make a suggestion. I don’t know how all this gets into digital form but I notice that if there are two verses a comma is used and the 2nd verse is not highlighted. A (-) would correct that. Also, when the text runs into another chapter is there not a way that that all can be highlighted? Occasionally some texts that we need to look up are not in the prescribed color for auto lookup so o must go to my Bible app.
enegio,
A problem I found.
I love the app, but I was studying this morning and accidentally touched the audio button at the bottom right corner of the page. It immediately went into audio, and I couldn’t turn it off. There wasn’t any way to stop it. I went into settings and there’s no control to stop or correct it. I had to delete the app to turn it off. I want to reload it again, but I wanted to let you know. All that is necessary is to add a pause/stop button. Thank you for the great app.
