Great App! Here are suggestions to Make it Better!
I just downloaded the app today and I love how much thought went thru creating this app, all the questions, absolutely amazing and sets you apart from all other Christian dating apps! Here is what I suggest to make it better:
- Offer a trial period for ppl to get on the app. This will not only attract new users which fixes the lack of user availability on the app, but it also encourages people who want the paid features to keep their membership. Im hesitant to pay for an app if they dont offer a trial period. What if I hate it and I just threw my money away? With a trial, I’d get to test it first and happily keep my subscription if I liked it!
- Please allow us to search by more detailed characteristics. I want to be able to search by ethnicity, age, location and ppl who are non smokers/drinkers. I am in love with dark skin so I want to be able search by ethnicity because that’s my dating preference.
- Please let us add more then 4 pictures. Around 10 would be great!
Other than that, the app has a lot of potential, great job guys!!!

Being honest with what you’re looking for in a relationship! Guys be real with what you want and are looking for! If you aren’t sure and you’re undecided and you’re not a real genuine or serious person then don’t go on here! It takes work and being willing to be available to chat and communicate! Show your willingness to actually connect and be serious about a relationship! Don’t just message a little and then hope that things will work out to your liking.. also put in the work and also make sure you’re willing to do what it takes to have a real authentic dating relationship that ends up in marriage some day!

Needs Improvement
I really like the fact this is a Christian dating app and there aren’t any pay walls, so far. However, to up your game and be in the same field as Holy, some changes will need to be made to guarantee there is no scammers or bots on your site. There is no verification process, so technically anyone or anything can make a profile. For the more mature dater, you’re slider stops at 55+. I’d like to be able to only seek people closer to my age and location. I’m not interested in people who are way beyond my age. I think if these two things are changed, it will be a step in the right direction. As it is, I’ve only seen one person in my location range, but way out of my age range, so I don’t believe this app is currently for me. So, I’ll probably be moving on to Holy, who does verify every user and is working on allowing location preferences less than 60 miles.

A modern dating app for the (potentially) modern Christian.
I’ve only used a handful of Christian dating apps, and none of them were that great. The UI was too generic or boring, there wasn’t much room or opportunity for individuality when it came to profiles, and they felt outdated; even though they may have been new.
Salt on the other hand, has none of those issues. The UI is straightforward yet nice to look at, it really helps you individualize your profile and set yourself apart from other users, and you can feel that it’s new and refreshing. The team really took its time and care when crafting the app!
Once the app begins to gain some traction, and word of mouth spreads about it, I know this will be a great app for Christian’s to find love! Keep up the good work team!

Previously accessable features now behind a paywall
Changing my 1 star to a 2 star cuz even tho I got really annoyed, it does have the best Christian aesthetic out of every christian dating app I've ever seen and the user interface is great. |

From a business standpoint, why would you charge $30 a month? If I were to actually buy some premium subscription, why would I pay $30 when I could pay $35 for bumble or tinder premium, which have WAY more users, and will let me just use a filter to find Christians? It's so disappointing to see Christian dating apps having practices like this. Makes me feel that the app is disingenuous. Sorry to sound overly critical and harsh but like cmon. It's so tiring.

The name of this app speaks volumes 📢
My favorite thing about the SALT app is the name. It's so wonderfully obvious as it relates to scripture (Matthew 5:13, “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.”) Yet it can be easily missed if one isn't paying attention or is thinking of it incorrectly because of popular colloquialisms ("Don't be salty". In other words, "don't be upset or bitter".). I also love the videos one can watch if they’ve seen everyone within their preferences. It’s a wonderful and encouraging confirmation that they are not the only one in a single "holding period" in their life.

Genuine Christ followers, Easy to set up
I’ve used other Christian dating apps before and the quality of men were all over the place. Salt is different. It opens with encouraging scriptures and features a warm godly space to meet people, so genuine that if you’re faking your love for God and His people to get a date, you’ll quickly lose interest. These are very godly people. The set up is simple and the customer service attentive and responsive. Can’t beat the price for the volume of people you are matched with. 🙌🏾👏🏾

Hello! I’m a new user and as I was setting up my answers I saw the prompt “If I Could be Any other Nationality, I’d be…”. This is racist. As a person of color, the only people this benefits is the white majority. As a person of color who’s also a believer, this prompt dishonors the already fragile relationship that minorities have within the evangelical space. I have to wonder why it’s necessary to have this prompt at all? It’d take a lot longer than an app review to explain why this is problematic, but the fact that it’s even a prompt should ring some warning bells within the dev team if you’re trying to have a diverse audience. What’s the motivation behind answering this? If you’re trying to live up to the terms presented when entering the app (making sure it’s a safe, respectful space) this is the exact opposite of those terms. Thank you!

Similar to the other dating apps
I joined thinking this was an app that was different. It was Christ like. We’re children of God but that does not mean I’m not attracted to what I know I’m attracted to. Obesity is a disease. While I love the African and women of color I do not want to go through what I did years ago. There’s no worse feeling then feeling not worthy not included and uncomfortable based on race. I’m not racist. I want to be comfortable at all times. If you’re forcing m me only see large and women of color you really aren’t trying to work with your customers.

Really nice app overall just seems like not well known😭
I really like how intentional Salt is by asking questions and you can tell how much effort they put into the app. I am thoroughly impressed! It seems you made the app with the users’ wants and needs in mind. (I just hope I get some likes soon 😂.) I probably just have to wait until more people find out about it, then there will be more options. The marketing team needs to get to work! Love it already tho :)
