When cruising, you just have to activate the itinerary that you previously created specially for your navigation, and to define your announcements profile. In this profile, you select all information you want to listen to during sailing.

So the blind sailor is able to check any information he needs to manage sailing, reading it with VoiceOver or listening to the automatic announcements.
