Description
This app is a simple alarm with a scheduling function. If you want to play a school chime that derives from the Westminster, the app realizes your request. In Japan, the school chime is widely used at the beginning and end of a period.
Settings
Schedule Check - It can check to chime time with a list.
Schedule - It can choose a schedule, create a new schedule, and modify an existing schedule.
Chime Type - It can choose a chime type (tone).
Display Notifications - If you turn off it, a notification is sound only.
Chime Test - It rings the selected chime.
Information (i button) - It is written about this app information.

App is good, as long as you don’t change time zones
We have changed location temporarily and all of the times are now wrong! The app noticed the time zone change (from US central to US eastern) but instead of changing one hour, it changed 54 minutes. 8:00 became 8:54. That does not make any sense. Our school has three different schedules on different days, one with 9 periods. I can edit it, but will have to do it again when we go back to our home time zone.
New update says it supports changing time zones. I won’t know until January if that is so. Upping to 4 stars until then. 5 if it works! Thanks!

Great to keep kids on schedule while remote learning
Update: The developer responded to me quickly and also updated the app within 1 day! Wow! Works great and I am able to use the chime I chose. Great app. Thanks so much for the quick response and update. Best online school schedule app. I use the app for both of my children’s schedules. One is in high school and the other in middle school. They have 3 different schedules and 9 classes in one week. This app helps them check into their appropriate remote classes on time. Kids are in remote learning due to the schools closing because of the increase cases of COVID-19 in my state.

Awesome Way to Keep Track of your Kids Schedule for Home Schooling
Now that we are social distancing in the US and many kids are having school at home, there is a need for a way to keep track of subjects on which kids should be working and when virtual students have live sessions with teachers. This makes it easy to multitask as a parent working from home while ensuring my child is also on task.
What would make this even better is if there were an easy way to share schedules between parents. Add a feature to import and export the schedule.

Helps keep my 6th grader on track
I bought this for my son to help him keep track of his remote learning schedule. I like how you can add a custom schedule and choose different bell chimes. I’ve used it for the last few days and it works like a charm.
My only recommendation would be to provide the ability to choose the days the bells activate. Right now, I have to remember to turn it off on weekends and then enable it again on Monday. This is not a huge inconvenience, but maybe something to add on the next iteration of the app.

So useful!
I’m a teacher and I’ve been using this app for a few years now to quickly see how much time is left in class or until class starts. This is the only app I’ve found that fits that need! I wish we had something on Apple Watch where we could see the same countdown timer as in the app.

I love this app and found it from the Dawn Alarm app, which I also love. The Dawn Alarm allows the time zone to be changed. Can the Schoolchime app also change time zones? I am not in Asia! My time zone is different. But I love this app and hope I can make it work in my time zone.

Apple Watch support?
I love this app. It does exactly what I need and doesn’t make it too complicated. Are there any plans to make it available on the Apple Watch? It would be great to have a complication that showed how much time left before the next bell.

Chime selection not working - fixed a couple of days after review
With the current release of Dec 1, 2020, the app no longer works properly. No matter which chime is picked, the air horn is played instead. Was working fine until current update.
Now it is working again with latest as of release Dec 5 . Thx.

This app helps keep track of the time for school and it is easy to change. A suggestion that I have is that you are able to make your own bells and you are able to customize how the bell works

It WAS awesome...
This app was amazing until the last update. My school stopped using bells 3 years ago and most of our staff now uses this app. However, now that the update went through you cannot change the sound of the chimes. I have tried EVERYTHING to get it to save to the only bell ringing sound. It will only play Westminster Chimes now. Very frustrating!
