Scout To Hunt is the only hunting app focused on protecting your hunting data, keeping it visible only to you and those you voluntarily share it with. You control your hard-earned map and location data when you scout and hunt with the Scout To Hunt App. We have taken the additional step to ensure that all your information is kept secure through the AES-256 encryption-key methodology, an unbroken encryption algorithm. Your data is encrypted when stored and when transmitted.
Map and location data you create are only accessible and viewable by the account holder (you). When you place and share a Marker or record a Track, for example, the GPS location information becomes encrypted, hidden from anyone who does not have user-provided access to it – including Scout To Hunt. It's your data, and we keep it that way.

Shed Log
We've rearranged your view of things to make your shed hunting experience more focused in the Scout To Hunt App. Your Shed Log is now on your main map view above your base maps selector button.
Base Maps
With this Shed Log change we've also updated how you select your base maps. This is done in preparation for adding additional Satellite provider base map options. Coming Soon!
Quick Hide/Unhide Map Layers
If you tend to have multiple layers on your map but run into the issue of wanting to quickly see your map without layers, you can now do so without having to individually turn off each map layer to then to turn them all individually back on again.
Press and Hold your Layers Menu button to quickly hide all active layers on your map. Press and Hold your Layers Menu button to quickly show them on your map again.
Map Controls
We have added new indicators on your Layers Menu button to show you if you have at least one map layer turned on, or if you have your map layers hidden.
Shed Log

Only putting a 4.5 because I’m a newer user and have not yet tapped in to the full potential of the app. I have hunted every nook and cranny solely off of experience and the bare minimum old school equipment. The layers of the app are amazing and pretty dang accurate to my areas of choice. I’ve used the app enough to become familiar with with how it works as well as its unique features. Definitely recommend this tool!!!

I had no idea about this company until I visited the hunting expo in feb 2019, after speaking with the scout to hunt team these people really enjoy the company and the product they create. All that being said here comes the novel of a review. The desktop version is way better than the app, the app is nice as it is in the early stages, but there are a few bugs to work out. I’ve only played with the app for a few minutes but I already ran into a snag, some of the labeling on your trail cam photos is wrong, I want to see bull elk not a cow moose and vice versa. The zones don’t have terrain view or 360 view of the area. You have every single picture of the same animal which is nice as more info is better, but it seems your wasting space keeping 20 slightly different photos of the same animal in the same position seconds apart. I would like to see these things changed. I’ll let you know if I find anything else as well.

Cool Idea, but Glitchy & Slow
Love the features of the app and I think its a great concept and could be an awesome tool, however it takes several minutes for the app to register when you press something. To measure distance and drop a point one single time takes upwards of 20 minutes (press a button, wait 5 minutes, then the screen will finally update and you can press the next button then wait, etc.), and that is with good service and internet, and up to date app, and a fully charged phone. I have given up trying to download any maps on the app and have been seriously mislead in the field trying to use the unreliable “my location” tool. Probably the glitchiest app I’ve ever downloaded. Unfortunately its required for the 50K bitcoin shed hunt so I have to keep dealing with it… maybe they will fix these glitches soon.

A true Outdoorsmans Tool!
If you don’t have the scout to hunt app, you are missing out on so much! Some of those things are: shed horns, bulls, bucks, and new territory. I have been using the scout to hunt app for a little over a year now and I love it. It has helped me find new stomping grounds, many shed horns, and trails into areas I thought were not accessible. This app is easy to use and is a outdoorsmans best friend! My current favorite part is the new shed panel! I spend lots and lots of days out in the field and have used this app in just about every way imaginable! I would recommend the scout to hunt app to anyone who wants to get the most out of their outdoors experiences!

This app is a Game Changer!
Let me tell you why I love this app and believe it is a must for any curious big game hunter. I don’t have the time or resources to place my own cameras and now for the cost of one camera I can check photos from the units I am interested in. These trail cams provide valuable info to plan and prepare for hunts, such as; quality of game, buck to doe, nocturnal activity and habitat insight, as well as other wild game info on bear, cougar & turkey. I love that it provides year-round scouting access with a clearer representation of the wildlife & game I can expect. I think users will be amazed at the trail cam photos and scouttohunt will quickly become a go to resource for the next hunt.

Since shed hunting is coming to a end, figured I'd give you a rundown on my experience with the app! I loved it. It helped me find some new spots where I had some of my best days I've ever had. A lot of it was thanks to the elevation bands. That was the one feature I used the most besides the waypoints. It took me a lot of miles to figure out where the elk had wintered and dropped but once I did, it was game on. I used the elevation band and narrowed it down to a certain elevation. I would use that elevation and I would find elk sheds on almost every hike. Thanks for making a great app that has helped me a ton!!

This is such an amazing app! I love the idea of having visual data of areas that I want to put in for in Utah. Also I’ve always been hesitant about putting in for other states and not knowing where to put in for. Now I have the tool right on my phone and computer to scout for me. It’s Slow
I have a subscription to onX hunt and wanted to try out this app. For the first couple weeks it was great, even though I am not shedicated. But since they added a subscription and started the bitcoin hunt my app has been incredibly slow and unreliable it can take a couple minutes just to set and edit a marker. I hope something changes.
