Golfer4911,
Please make updates soon!
Love the potential of this device!!!!! The app is nothing more than a tutorial and demo at this point.

You show widgets in the pictures that don’t exist, there is no way to upload anything original, some areas of the app have no back button so you have restart to get back, etc.

I understand you are developing new features and I can’t wait to see what is coming, but please add just basic functionality SOON.

Update - added functionality gets you 2 more stars!! And back button gets you another!

Erasable markers are pretty worthless. Have not had success with the erase function and the ink is semi transparent so the image is very muted. While it does wipe of easily it also smudges just as easy. I am going to tryout dry erase and hope the image is clearer.
jdetiv1,
Great product and customer service.
We love our scribit and the customer service was on par with the product. We had a shipping snafu with FedEx customs into the US - the Toxicity paperwork wasn’t attached to the package and was returned to sender. Scribit was quick and responsive to resolve the issue and resent the package via DHL - I recommend requesting this shipping service in lieu of FedEx because there was another fee to pay at customs - DHL texted me about the issue and I was able to resolve payment with customs to avoid another returned package.
cre8ivest,
Fantastic App and Hardware
Probably one of the most underrated art tools currently available. I’ve had nothing but good experiences and I’ve been using it for years now. The self upload is an awesome feature that also has worked nicely ever since they released it.

Personally, I’ve had a ton of fun and the app updates have only added to that experience.

Garbage
The app constantly get stuck on “processing.” It’s not until I unplug the scribit to start over does it tell me “connected” or “complete.” It tells me calibration is in progress while showing me how the robots should be moving, but after 9 minutes the robot has NOT moved and I con not exit the screen. Even the “error” messages give no explanation of what the error is!

Creativity for the not so creative
Love it!
I use it in an office context to send inspirational messages to the team!
Dilbert McMurphy,
Awesome potential - App & SW Need Attention
Updated Review: tried to new Upload feature for using one’s own graphics. Possibly better for graphical pictures and such; however, we got for use at work to put block diagrams, flow diagrams and other things with text in them and it detects text but won’t draw it. You have to remove it all from your original, then put it in all over again manually in Adobe Illustrator or similar application. (Not sure why if they accept SVG it doesn’t just write out the text???). Bottom line, still ridiculous and useless unless you want purely graphics (and still more limited then it should be there). Still hopeful; hardware and firmware seem good, software/importing still needs serious work.

(Original Review) Concept and hardware seem awesome (could be faster, but okay). You really need to be able to import vector graphics (or better interpretation of uploaded images...even line drawings not even close) or some other standard for of import (e.g. EPS, DXF, GIF...anything). ...Then I’ll give you your 5 stars.

Potential pending
I supported Scribit’s fundraising campaign because the device appeared to have great potential in the production of scaled, temporary and semi-permed graphics. However, the companion application doesn’t support any legitimate level of control over the use of original material. Files cannot be uploaded as vectors, and images are interpreted as series of uneditable scribbles determined by the app. While theses interpretations and the preloaded content are visually interesting in their own right, it limits the application of Scribit as a tool for artists and designers. In essence, this is a toy that one can use for decoration or entertainment. If you’re expecting a legitimate interactive plotter, Scribit and the Scribit application have a long way to go to achieve that end.
scribit doesnt work,
Won’t connect
Update: more hours wasted, zero success. I was trying to be patient because I think the concept is great, but this app, even after the most recent update, just does not work. News flash for the developers, if the robot will not connect in the first place (in settings it just spins and says “no internet connection”) then there is no way to download the newest firm ware, which is “guaranteed to fix the problem”.

In fact, without the robot connected, there is no way to even see what version of firmware you have!

I’m done being patient, based on the quality of this app, I feel like a bunch of middle-school kids have successfully ripped me off. Unfortunately this will make me much less likely to back anything else on Kickstarter in the future as well. If I could give negative stars I would

Many hours wasted already / I expected early adopter challenges, but I can’t connect to the robot, so I can’t even start addressing the challenges! So far pretty worthless
GiftedTawker,
Scribit
I’ve been using Scribit in my classroom. It has been used across the curriculum forging ties in ELA, science, mathematics, and coding. It’s such a great way to share and celebrate students’ work while engaging students’ creative and problem solving skills. The support from Scribit’s team has been superlative. Great company. I highly recommend.
PaulMarcel,
Software is borderline horrific
While the app looks good, it has zero error checking. If you typo a GUID password for a friend's wifi, the device will blink red, but the app will literally wait forever with no feedback. Once this happens, your account thinks you're paired, but the device blinks white meaning not paired. Once you navigate through other subtle bugs in the app to eventually unpair the device, you'll try again in frustration and not succeed. It's a $450 paperweight that comes with strings to hang it.

BTW, with iOS13's App Store, I can't even find the mythical 5-star ratings. I wanted to see if they were the developers trying to boost it up from a flat 1.0...
