PieEater339,
some ideas :)
I really love this game, the soft music and low light along with the exploration and avoiding danger makes it calming and exciting at the same time and it’s a really unique experience. i hope this game gets expanded on more and some more environments and creatures to discover are added as i really enjoy those, i’d like some more friendly creatures too. i think it would also be nice if the frequency of enemy characters were lowered in some areas to give time to look at the friendly creatures. another small thing, i would really appreciate a mode where you can disable certain enemy creatures because for the most part this game is good for my anxiety with the calming atmosphere while still being exciting but the big fish that jumps out from the dark and chomps at you sort of kills that for me, as jump scares are a lot harder for me to cope with than just being chased and it is hard for my anxiety to handle at times. it’s a cool concept and i’m sure plenty would enjoy it! i just know i’m not the only person who can’t deal with jump scares specifically. one more idea, maybe some friendly creatures you can interact with somehow, or that will interact with you in some way, maybe follow you around for a bit? just an idea :) this game has a lot of potential and i enjoy it a lot, so i hope it continues to be worked on and that any of my feedback was even a little helpful. thank you for taking the time to read this <3

i can tell Seashine wasn’t made just because a game developer sat down at their desk and thought, “i need to make a game to earn me some money.” Seashine is a passion project, made because developer Patrick Ellis wanted to make a beautiful piece of art, a game that’s just.... i don’t know the right positive adjective to describe this. i first downloaded the game in 2015, and i’ve been on and off throughout the years. Seashine is just so impossibly beautiful. i just love the graphics and the soundtrack, both of which deserve their own essays of appreciation. for the level of quality and beauty in this game, it’s surprising that it doesn’t eat up my battery when i play. i love the details and culture provided by the flora and fauna descriptions. in the abyss, you are always lost, and that makes you perfectly at home. i think it’s really important to mention that, for a free mobile game, the ads in Seashine are sparse and easy to skip. i’ve never been redirected to download a game due to challenging X or skip buttons on an advertisement, and they only show up every three games - which is still amazing, since usually games are multiple minutes long. you CAN make in-app purchases, but they’re for currency that is already very easy to collect, and this game is obviously not structured to encourage you to spend money on it. even though, if Seashine was a premium game, i’d gladly buy it. i love your game so much. thank you for making this game, Patrick Ellis.
Huolongheater123,
One of the best mobile game I have ever gotten
I was just browsing games to see what cheap heartless game I could get sick of in 5 minutes to download next when suddenly seashine showed up as a suggestion. When I first went through the tutorial I instantly fell in love. I love the occasional surface relics like sunken ships or treasure chests that appear randomly and I love the way you integrate the biomes with the creatures and the soundtrack is impeccable.

One idea I had is an alternative story mode in addition to the normal open world mode. When you are playing the game you can hear what I assume is the players jellyfish calling out into the void and other similar creatures calling back. So I was thinking, a good storymode would be you navigating a massive world, uncovering the history of The Ancients and at the end you finally reunite with your family, after wandering the darkness, calling out in longing for so long, you at last make it home to safety and your kind.

Anyways just an idea, i appreciate the lack of necessity for in app purchases and practical absence of ads. Really it allows me to enjoy the game more. Thank you for this amazing piece of art you call a game.
S. Gavin Sears,
Awesome, but a few things may need fixing
Every once in while I will go to a dead end-which is fine. However, when I try to go back to find a new tunnel, but it will also become a dead end. I may just be unlucky, but this tends to always happen eventually in long games (100+). This usually happens with a certain section where it looks like a rock falling area but you cannot enter it. As well as this, when a way the jellyfish has gone turns into a dead end, the crack at the end can be entered with a small jellyfish. This causes the player to enter a glitchy black void. Furthermore, sea anemones sometimes clip into each other and the deep sea dragon does an unnatural tail flip when it does a 180 degree turn. I don't know if these are things that can be fixed, but I hope they are (by the way, this is intended to be constructive criticism, and I mean no offense). Also, what if there is a fish that can't be seen that swims around slower than a shark. This thing would light up right before it's about to get the jellyfish. What if a tunnel leading away from the abyss-that was so desperately found-turned out to be the mouth of a giant stonefish? Spooky
Dimetrodon225,
Amazing in every single way, but...
Ok so, while the game is Amazing from its beautiful visuals, soft calming music, aesthetically enjoyable, i do have one thing that it’s kinda bothering me, and that’s how can only swipe to get to where you wanna get to in the game. Maybe if you had buttons or a small circle like normal FPS games have, i mean don’t get me wrong while i do like the idea of having to swipe to move around, i just don’t find it as simple as having to use buttons or something along those lines to be able to move more easily. Now, i’m not saying to completely remove the swiping mechanic or anything like that, but just add like an alternative. That way if other players are having the same issue, it’ll be easier to just have something like that. Love the game. I would rate it a 10/10 despite the fact that i don’t like the way we move around using the swipe mechanic. But still a very fun and enjoyable experience. Thank you guys. Love the game so much♥️♥️♥️
Lizard Friend,
Great, but don’t let the relaxing graphics fool you!
I personally love this game! I got it a few days ago and have been playing it ever since. Honestly, there’s nothing bad I can say about it. But, if you’re looking for a relaxing game, this is not for you. The graphics may seem artistic and calming, but the stress involved in this game is huge. Out of the blue, giant shark teeth can appear and grab you or a carnivorous worm can shoot out of the ground. You find yourself saying, “Oh god! Oh god!” as you’re trying to outrun a huge fish.
Another thing I like about this game is that there aren’t too many ads, just a few. Some games it seems like there’s an ad every ten seconds, so I’m glad this isn’t one of those games. Lastly, the game doesn’t try to push you into buying much. Of course there are items to buy, but the developers don’t shove it in your face.
I love this game and so do my friends! Whoever made this game, thank you! ❤️
🦇444,
Spectacular
I love this game. It is very well made and fun. I love that there is so many different fish and creatures and that they do so many different things!! I also appreciate that if you want to buy “stars” they do not cost a lot of money. The most expensive thing you can buy is only $4.99 and gives you 800 stars!!!! That’s a great deal in my opinion! Cuz you only get maybe 15 - 20 stars per game! I also love that it is not just- ADD ADDD ADDDD AADDDDDDDDDDD ALL THE TIME I think the creators of this game did a great job with that.(unlike EVERY OTHER GAME I HAVE) so I thank you for that 😋 A feature I also love about this game is that they have a book like thing that shows you all the fish creatures you have discovered. I personally think that is super cool. Lol I also like their discription 😊 So yea! That’s what I think about this game!! I highly recommend it and like it!!

P.S. sorry if I hade any spelling errors. I’m only 12 lol 😅
WaitingforAliens,
Creative, Authentic, Fun!
I have been playing Seashine for over a year, and it is still one of the best apps IOS has to offer.
I love how the creatures are based on real deep-sea organisms. Bobbit worms do exist, and they’re just as terrifying in reality as they are in-game. And I’ve just discovered the ghost shark (wow!), which made me want to write this review.
Even after all this time, I still enjoy the journey. Graphics are smooth— it never slows down to populate the next area. Just an excellent game with fun, creative updates that I always enjoy. I especially like the option for multiple jellies.

I have a few recommendations:
• The collectible stars should look like sea stars. It would make more sense, since they’re always hanging around on the walls
• More rooms?
• the hammerhead is wearing striped purple pajamas, and it takes away from the realism of the game for me
• one element I loved about the game in its earlier days was how there was no language involved in the exploration. It was just nature and survival. But now there are talking Easter island heads. They don’t say anything important, and it’s distracting from the overall tone that Seashine has to offer
• keep the parasites! They’re annoying, but avoiding them keeps me on my toes
• maybe fewer stars— they’re everywhere

I hope the app continues to update.
Thank you!
lllllooooookkk,
Don’t listen to the bad reviews
Most of them are long ago and most people just can’t get natural with the controls plus this is a 5 starred game some people don’t give evidence but all you have to do is just try your best it’s ok if you can’t get well of how you control it but if you still can’t find another review that has the same problem and see if the developer had responded to that person and it’s best to not play the game if you still don’t understand it and always listen to the most recent reviews if there are most of the good reviews but a lot of bad ones like a long long long time ago that was most likely a bug plus I really liked the music plus it sounded like little nightmares to me except never ending and survival together.
4 scrub,
It’s getting unfair
I swam into a tunnel just big enough for a giant purple shark to fit in, and there was one. No new tunnels would appear. I was gonna take a screen shot but then I got eaten by the giant monster in the back. I’m also waiting to run into that one sunken ship since it didn’t save my progress from when I uninstalled this game and installed it again. The camera doesn’t move when I get sucked into a water stream and then I get eaten by an angler fish before I even see it, because the camera didn’t move. And there’s too many spikes on fish on the rocks and not enough room to move. The volcano bubble things are alright, those get kinda tight at the end. The fish don’t really eat each other. Why did the angler fish want to eat only me and the little carnival fish too. They were side by side chasing me. If the little fish like to eat shiny thing he should try nibbling on the angler fishes lure. Sorry for all the disorder in these words. It’s probably ADD. Das it
