Description

Seasonality Pro offers meteorologists and weather enthusiasts the best way to visualize advanced weather model data on iPhone and iPad. Use Seasonality Pro to quickly access weather charts for forecasting. Here are just a few of the charts that are available:

• Surface temperature and pressure.
• 850mb temperature, heights, and wind.
• 500mb vorticity, heights, and wind.
• 250mb wind velocity and height contours.
• Simulated RADAR reflectivity.
• Wave heights and swell direction.

The charts Seasonality Pro displays are not just static images, but maps that you can interact with and explore. Each map is drawn in vector format, so as you zoom in, everything is redrawn with amazing detail limited only by the resolution of each weather model. The data can be inspected by dragging the map probe to see exact values from certain locations.

Weather models supported:
• GFS (1.0°, 0.5°, and 0.25°* resolution)
• NAM (12km resolution with several domains)
• RAP
• GFSwave (several ocean domains as well as the Great Lakes)
• HIRES* ARW/NMMB
• HRRR*
(* Subscription required for HRRR, HIRES, and GFS 0.25° model data)

By default, Seasonality Pro includes all the most common forecasting maps and then some. However, additional features and data are available for users with a VIP subscription (available as an in-app purchase):

• Create your own custom maps.
• Edit the display of individual map layers.
• View every variable and elevation level available from the models.
• Access the HRRR, HIRES, and GFS 0.25° model data.

So download Seasonality Pro today! You won’t find a better app for visualizing weather model data.

wxtech1,
A must have app for Met's
This is a well designed program bringing Many different weather model’s into a single app that was designed for iOS from the ground up. Intuitive and innovative, Seasonality Pro provides quick access to weather model data with brilliant graphics an quick response. The only unavoidable down side would be the heavy data usage by nature as with all model crunching programs. On WiFi, there is no end to what you can display a a very quick speed. I actually bought the app at a ballgame and started using it over cellular data first. It worked great. Maps where generated several seconds. Animations a bit long but worth the wait. If you need a bit more, theres also the VIP program which includes recently popular HRRR. If you use AWIPS, IDV or McIDAS, this is the app for you. The map overlay’s were well thought out. If you don’t like a set map display, you can even create your own. This is truly a prosumer or better app right from version 1.
paulsnn1,
Excellent! Here's Where the Forecasts Come From
I don't usually write reviews, but I've loved Seasonality Core and Go for years. These are the best weather apps out there for the Mac and IOS. Pro takes it a step further giving you direct access to weather model data. Unlike most IOS apps, you need to take five minutes to read the manual to understand the huge amount of data and graphs available, but once you do, wow! The app is fast, easy to use, and powerful.
SedonaDenise,
Love This App
Update: Appreciate the update! The load time and refresh time are a lot faster.

Wow! Now, I build my maps designed for our specific situation (summer monsoons, downdrops from the Colorado plateau, etc). Love it. Worth the wait. I use S-Go for quick review, Storm for local storms, and Windy for big picture.
Caleeb44,
Good app.
Not sure about those that complain about having to pay for the app and then a subscription for data. As a professional meteorologist, I understand that's how the game works. (I wouldn't want to work for free to make and support an app, and have to spend out of pocket to maintain data feeds either). Great way to natively view model data on the go (if you want free, try websites). I would love to see the ability to trim the domain for models (so you aren't downloading the entire domain) and the ability to download an entire run with a tap.
Houston Chiver,
Everything in one place!
Every forecast model, the way you want it. Price is steep but worth the expense.
ChipSawdust,
Had it for years, but now…
When I launch it, it crashes. No updates for two years, apparently they want you to buy Seasonality Go for $10 now and I already paid for this app. It was great, before the crashing issues.
Brainal,
It's ok
Nice graphics, decent selection. The problem is the forecast only goes out 9 hours, come on, the GFS goes way out past 9 hours. Give me an extended outlook and I might up the stars. Nice try but far from a great product, No ECMWF model, I could go on and on, but I won't. Disappointed with the App.
flitetym,
The pro's “assistant”
This app has the best display of technical wx info out there ... “jet-jocks” will appreciate the inclusion and graphical presentation of upper-atmosphere and the jetstream ... so, stop balking at the price ... just get it.
Brogainz,
Definitely handy
Very cool app with several features. Great for storm chasers who want to know about dry lines, low level jet, and NAM. Definitely recommend.
ridersmi,
Pain in the keister.
Every time I choose NAM jet stream and low level jet option the app closes. Then on reopening if I don’t take it of that view it closes again. Completely unable to use NAM jet stream low level jet without app closing.
